Haier window AC leaking water.

We have a Haier window AC which works normally at first. After a time, it starts leaking at the top. Haier support said it's because of the humidity, but our other window ACs don't have this issue. Model number: ESA408K-E By top, I meant where the air is blown out of it.

Hi. Check the drain hose and look for kinks and partial blockage. Even algae can often block these tubes. J.

Don, unless your dehumidifier is a Low temperature model, that very well may be the problem.
The air temp in a basement at floor level is colder than that chest level. Dehumidifiers don't work well at temperatures at 40 degrees F or less. Raising the unit up off the floor on to a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that is strong enough to handle it's weight, plus a full tank of water, will generally solve the problem. The higher up you can safely put it, the better. Also, lower the humidity extraction level to 35%. As 50% is just not low enough in a basement application.

Hope this helps you to solve the problem.

SOURCE: Haier Model# HWF05XCK-L 5000 BTU window air

The problem you're experiencing is generally caused by the rear of the unit not being tilted down enough. 1/4" to 1/2" is the general rule. This allows collected water in the drip pan, to run to the rear of the unit, where the drain hole is located. It would also be prudent, to check the drain hole under the drip pan, to see if it's clogged. It can be cleared with a pipe cleaner.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My haier HLP21E started leaking on maximum water level, now leaks on all water levels.

Overfilling is a sign that the pressure switch or the computer sequencer is bad. You will need to replace one of these and both require entering the unit by a qualified technician.

I have a haier hwfo5xc7-l window air conditioner and it leaks water on the inside what is causing this ?

A couple of things can cause this: The drain hole in the condensation pan under the unit on the outside is clogged and/or the outside part of the AC unit is not sloped down at least 1/4". Resolving those two issues should stop the water leakage on the inside of the house.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem..

My Haier window ac unit is dripping a lot of water into my room. It only starts to do it after it has been on for 20-30 minutes, but comes out in a steady stream from the bottom of the unit for the rest...

The window unit is most likely not tilted towards the outside so that the condensate (water) can flow to the drains on the outside part of the unit. Try leveling the A/C or even tilting (Slightly) towards the outside. This will cure your problem.

If this does not cure the problem then you will have to remove the a/c from the window/wall and remove the cover. Inside you will see the drip pan in the bottom and will have to clean the water channels the run from the pan to the outside part of the unit, they will be clogged with dirt or debris and not letting the water flow properly.

Hope this helps.

Fills with water, doesn't evaporate. Leaks. HAIER HPR09XC7

There is nothing to resolve. Your humidifier is working properly.

A humidifier works by condensing water out of air. This is the job of the cold coil, which you have found to have water dripping off. The Warm coil is not intended to re-evaporate the water, as this would just bring the relative humidity back to the origanal high level, rather, the warm coil is used to re-warm the air, going back into the room so the room does not get too cold. It is normal to have to empty the bucket and restart the process on a periodic basis.

Water leek

Where is your AC leaking at, can you tell? This is common, but the leak of water should not end up in your house--but outside; this occurs as a result of the failure of your AC tubing or pump. The accumulation of water is a part of the normal process of condensation. Here's a really good diagnostic article that talks about water accumulation and leaking AC systems:

http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Home_Improvement_Zone_Cooling_Ventilation_Systems_Central_Air_Conditioning_Creates_Water_Puddle.htm

Read the article, and, actually, your best bet may be to take advantage--towards the end of the above-linked article--of the text-link for Free four (4) quotes from local AC contractors in your area (click the link that sasy"Find A/C Contracts. Get Up to 4 Quotes"), and "pick the brain"--seek the advice--of these local technicians who offer you a free quote to discern whether your AC tubing or pump is the problem for your water accumulation.
