To set up a speed dial option, make sure that the phone system is in standby (no handsets in use). Make sure that the number you want to have as a Speed Dial number is in the Directory. You can type in the number (up to 30 digits) and then press Select (shared key with Menu to the upper right of the arrow keys). Alternatively press Menu and use the up/down arrows to navigate to Directory. Press Menu/Select twice. Type in the phone number. Press Select to move to adding a name with the number key. Press Select to Save. You can also add a number from the Redial list. See the abbreviated manual on page 7. Press Off/Cancel to return to the previous menu list. Press and hold Off to exit the menu system completely.

Now, press Menu (if you aren't in the menu) and use the up/down arrows to navigate to Directory. Press Select. Scroll to Speed Dial and press Select. Select a speed dial location and press Select. Scroll through the directory list and press Select when the correct entry is highlighted. Press and hold the Speed Dial number (0 or 2-9) to dial this number. See page 8 of the manual.

The abbreviated manual for the CS6629, CS6629-2, etc is available here: https://phones.vtechcanada.com/media/document2/products/%7B76B9FBDF-8471-4E06-BE52-B0E8A258E5F8%7D/CS6629-3_CAAUM_3_912.pdf .

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: speed dial

For System Speed dial, you can only do it from a port with Attendant Features. Typically they are ports 1 and 2.

Assuming they are still the default settings, the available System Speed Dial bins are 00 thru 79.

from one of the Attendant Ports:
Press Feature
Press Redial
Dial in the memory location bin number (00-79)
Press "9" for the Trunk Access Code (or whatever it is)
Dial in the Phone Number (24 digits max)
Press Feature

To use, get DialTone, press Redial, enter bin number (00-79)

SOURCE: I have a vtech wireless

Hello,

If you have a second phone line in the house check to see if that works, if not, proceed with the next step.
If you have a cell phone try calling yourself, and see if the phone rings or if you get a busy signal, or an operator message that can confirm if the phone company disconnected your phone service. If you get a message your phone has been disconnected, call your phone company.

Unplug your phones for at least 15 minutes, all phones in your hose and all lines just from the wall jack and power from the cordless phones.

After 15 minutes plug your phones back in the jack one at a time, pick it up and see if there is dial tone. If not the phone might be defective.

Take care.

I need the instruction booklet for Model CS 6629 3 vtech phone digital answering machine

VTech has the manuals for many of their phones on their support page: http://www.vtechphones.com/support/general/manuals . The full manual for all of the CS6629 phones is here: http://cdn-media.vtechphones.com/ecp/documents//product_Product/1920//8966/CS6629-3_UM_1.pdf . The abridged manual for the CS6629-3 is here: http://cdn-media.vtechphones.com/ecp/documents//product_Product/1920//8342/CS6629_3_UM_3.pdf . The full manual is a much better resource. Note: you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to access the file. If you need a hard copy and can't print it at home, most of the office stores or printing/shipping services will be able to print a PDF for a fee.

I hope this helps.
