Googled everywhere and called Emglo already. Can't find manual or oil capacity. Dipstick shows full with just 1-2oz added which doesn't seem right. Similar looking DeWalt 55151, 55153 shows 6/12oz respectively. Jenny AM780 HC4V parts list shows exact same dipstick I have (rules out wrong dipstick). If any one knows the oil capacity and can post it, that'd be great.
I just rebuilt my Emglo AM78 4CHV, new pressure switch, unloaded, check valve, aftercooler, and changed the #30 oil, It takes 4oz.
Runs like new after not cutting in/out correctly and purging air before reaching 125 psi. Kicked it down to 115 max psi via main spring setting. Don't need 125 for trim nailing and siding.
FYI don't use cheaper generic 125 psi pressure switch from Amazon!!
use Jenny M4-1247 (140-1074-01)
SOURCE: what is the oil capacity on a 2003 mercedes c240
8 quarts including the filter. please make sure you replace it with one from merecedes benz. this needs to be purchased from the dealer as a special tool.
SOURCE: Just had oil changed, dipstick reads full, but oil light flickers
the light is probably sending an OIL Pressure drop warning ---there is a rarity however
an oil filter may be improperly installed or the OIL Pressure connection on the oil pressure
sending unit --usually next to the filter --is loose or corroded or the oil pressure sending unit may
be going bad ---on a 2001 it is conceivable
otherwise you have an internal oil pressure leak --crank or cam bearings --bad o ringy thingy somewhere or the oil pump --may be experiencing problem too or the pick up screen in the oil pan
is somwhat clogged ---for a clog --try what's called SEAFOAM in the oil ---the stuff actually works
like it says on the can --about 8 bucks --drive for a week --say 500 miles worth and change the oil filter again --just the filter ---either way OIL Pressure is nothing to ignore ---you need to fix that
asap depending on the problem source!!!
I hope this helps

SOURCE: Oil Pressure light stays on. Oil reservoir is
It occurred to me that you may find it by unplugging wires on the few items under the hood which may appear they could be the oil pressure sending unit.
The light should go out when the wire is unplugged, and if it does it is bad. That's your continuity test.
If you unplug the oil pressure sending unit and the light does not go out, the cause of the oil light staying on is something other than the oil pressure sending unit.
RE pete cass posting: I believe that if the sensor is diconnnected, the oil pressure light will not light (at least because of the oil pressure sensor switch being disconnected) -- the symptom here is the light won't go off. The switch is closed with oil pressure below 10-15 PSI and open above that oil pressure -- this is a normally closed switch.
SOURCE: OIl full - no oil showing on dipstick
Are you sure you put in the required amount? Sometimes 1 quart can make a difference. No offence intended cause in my early years , I won't admit anything. Only thing I can think of is all yhe oil hasn't drained down yet or the clean oil is hard to see. when you pull the dipstick out, Lay the tip on a paper towel or on your hand to transfer the oil and tell where it is. Good Luck and you are not going crazy, ot's there.
SOURCE: Oil light flickers on and off however dipstick is
One of two things may be happening. If the oil light stays off until the engine warms up and then begins to flicker on/off when you are idling & in gear [say at a stop sign] then you could actually have low oil pressure due to worn internal engine parts, OR, you could have a faulty sending unit that is reading the pressure incorrectly [usually low] and turning on the light. The best way to find out for sure is to have someone remove the sender and thread in an oil pressure test gauge to check and see exactly how much oil pressure you really have when the engine is first started and fully warmed up. You could just simply replace the sender and if the flickering is gone after that then you should be ok but if the flickering continues then odds are you actually do have low oil pressure. I would strongly recommend having the oil pressure tested for peace of mind then you'll know for certain what is happening. Engine bearings don't survive very long without sufficient oil pressure so you should have it checked out asap.

Thanks for the comment, all the newer model specs I could find shows 6oz other than 12oz for Dewalt equiv as you stated.
I did find another Emglo oil level posting that only took in a couple of ounceshttps://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showp...
I decided to gamble the dip stick is correct and just run with 3 oz of oil so far. Works fine so far with low usage (pump up car tires, blow dust off things) But usage is very low of course.
Can I confirm is you have model Emglo AM78 4CHV? My dip stick also shows "LIVELLO OLIO" which is OIl Level in Italian.
