Moved and lost instructions. Haven't played it in awhile and can't figure out what button is start. Have tried all 3 but nothing works. Machine loads the DVD but doesn't play after I select Play movie. The first button is a square, second is Menu, the third is a triangle pointing to 2 lines.

Sorry, no suggestion other than don't buy Samsung. That's my conclusion after owning the same model. It worked fine for a while, but now won't load any DVD... usually. Sometimes it will play one, but more often it won't. Mine tries to load ("Loading") for a long time, I hear the DVD spinning, then ultimately the screen displays "This disc cannot be played" or something to that effect.

You need to force the player to the the Top Menu of the disc.
The way to do this is: load disc, wait until it says "Reading Completed" (about 1 minute).
Wait for the PLAY icon ">" to show in the upper right corner (this may take up to 30-40 secs).
Once you see the ">" Hit the STOP button on the remote to get to the player's splash screen.
From the Sharp splash screen Hit the "Top Menu/Title List" button on the remote and wait for the circulating dots and then the disc menu appears.
Play the movie from the menu and you should be good to go.

Hey AJ,
Follow this link: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=BD-P1500 Click on firmware under the downloads tab. Download the upgrade guide and it will instruct you on how to burn off a copy of the updated firmware for this model and load it into your player. It should take care of your issue.
