I can't get this player to work anymore! All I did was change my low Duracell battery into energizer and all of a sudden some of my songs were gone and their names were switched around! I thought this was annoying so I decided to hook it up to my laptop to check what the hell happened. Well it worked at first but then when I clicked on the internal storage it just shut itself off and restarted. After that I haven't been able to hook it up and all my music (62) has been wiped out! what you might want to do is to rip the songs from the cd as an mp3 songs/go to your windows media player tools setting and change the rip file to MP3 instead of WMA...
YOU HAVE TO SYNC THROUGH MEDIA PLAYER - IT DOES NOT RECONGIZE SONGS IF YOU JUST COPY THEM ONTO THE SD CARD.
FOR VISTA -This player only seems to be able to transfer MP3 format with Vista, using windows media player syne. Unless someone found otherwise.
FOR XP PRO When using XP Pro and Windows Media Player you can transfer WMA but you have to go into the PROPERTIES of the drive (mine was mp-556/G: drive) and DESELECT the option to transfer FOLDER HEIRECY. The MP3 player is not able to reconginize the folder structure it usually creates by default.
I just got an ilo mp3 player and when I try to sync songs from Windows
Media Player 11 to it, it only puts about 1/2 of the songs on it. It
says it has plenty of memory, so what's the problem?

You cannot just move WMA songs onto the card and play in the MP3 player. MP3 format may work this way, but for sure the player only seems to be able to recongize WMA files when syncd through Windows Media with the USB cord attached. Be sure the DESELECT 'copy folder hierecy' under the sync options/properties of the MP3 player drive or SD card drive.

u might need to use the reformat as well as the upgrade firmware to make your list read the same. reformating will set your storage area back to factory specs. i e delete all your songs on your player
