I assume the timer is mechanical instead of electronic--try turning the dial slowly through the full cycle positions. You should get motor operation at some points along the dial. If the motor never reacts, look for a circuit breaker button on the motor near it's wiring entry. With the power plug out, try turning the motor shaft to make sure it is not bound up. If the motor does run at points, then probably the clock motor on the timer is bound up.

Kenmore washer 110.16112503 works in wash & spin cycle but not rinse. After wash cycle finished I hear a humming sound and the machine does nothing until I manually start spin cycle. Broken timer?

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

Kenmore washer model 110 82781800 won't cylce, just hear timer ticking

If the motor is going thru cycles and the agitator doesn't move, than it means the drive link snapped. cheap repair. it was made to protect the motor and trans. Read the manual before doing this. it will show you how to do it easily. iv'e done mine around 4 times. my wife keeps jamming too many clothes into the thing.
good luck

Washer fills with water but fails to cycle thru any other stage, can hear timer running but nothing happens

Either the timer is not contacting the motor or sub devices or the motor is faulty.
So it will be good to checck the Timer controller output contacts as it runs or else the timer controller is deffective.

Kenmore stack washer and dryer

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.

Kenmore 22956 top loader quit running after agite cycle

If the timer cycles your lid switch is ok.
most likely: motor Switch (on Motor), condenser next to motor, motor itself, or wiring going from the time to the switch,

It is probably cost efficient to replace the unit rather than trowing parts at it .
