Possible reasons include worn liner in cable grabbing wire, worn size wire for the rollers fitted , wire speed not fast enough ( adjust) wrong size wire for the liner in use
rust off the wire jamming the wire in the liner

SOURCE: Toolex 140 mig welder, wont feed wire.

You may have the scew settint your wire tension set to tight. Try loosening the tension and if that doesnt work check the eletrical wire that supplies the power to the roller and make sure it hasnt become disconected.

SOURCE: Wire feed runs at maximum speed

Ensure the set is upluged, then check coninuety? across centre tag and the left tag then the right tag, if this checks out OK then check the resisters close to the center tag. potentiometer are cheep enough, get a replacement from Tandy or RS spares.

Will a ya219b snap on by century mig welder weld flux core wire

Are you using knurled rollers? Check the wire. Is it reversed polarity. Flux cored wire is very voltage sensitive.

Hello, I have a Hobart 180 and the wire feeder motor won't run. I replaced the wire feed motor and it still won't run. any ideas?

Sound like you have a bad trigger on the gun. Does gas spray when you pull the trigger? Check the wire plug that goes from the pistol to the unit. It should be under the liner hose where it connects to the machine. Then use a voltage meter on the wires going to the drive feed motor, and see if you get current when you pull the trigger. If gas doesn't spray neither, sounds like you got a bad trigger switch

I am having a issue with the feed and the welder quits welding after about a inch of welding then will intermittently weld for a second or two then stop again. I use this welder to keep my family tractor...

First thing I would check is the relay that sends power to the transformer when you pull the trigger. That can be one of the hardest parts of a Mig welder to troubleshoot because you can read full voltage through the thing with a multimeter when the contacts are dirty and it's not functioning properly.

That's assuming you're losing power. If it's a feed issue then we can address that later.

Snap on ya219B mig welder. when welding, spark quit working and feed at same time, which usually means overload switch above transformer and in front of fan. when it reset, i get no spark, but feed works....

I have the same problem with my ya219b every year or so. it is the diodes located on the aluminum plate above the transformer. usually they short first and cause the welder to grun and barely weld at all and the they open up and everything works except for welding. when replacing, pay close attention to the polarity of the diodes. there is usually a little schematic symbol printed on it to tell you which is the anode and which is the cathode

Snap On Ya219B No Spark

The transformer has an overtempature switch the shuts the welder down when its duty cycle is exceeded. After it cools, the switch will close and the welder will run again. However, you are not supposed to use the welder until waiting an additional cooling off period as specified in you manual(~10 min.).Also you are not suppose to weld beyond the duty cycle or damage could result. Especially if done on a continuous basis.
