I have a frigedaire model glhs37ehsb7 it wont stop beeping, ive tried unplugging it and leaving the door open 5 min and this has not worked the display also wont come back on is there another way?

try opening the door.leave it open.unplug the fridge for at least 5 minutes, no less,with the door still open.after that,plug it back in.wait for it to beep.then close the door.
this would reset the door alarm,which beepes when the door isn't properly closed.
also you should wait 24 hours between changing the temperature or it can mess up your fridge.!

Hi,its not like the sound when you leave the door open on the fridge door,if you are not shore try leaving the door open for a fuw momments to see if it sounds the same.
Just a thought,I hope you get it fixed it would iritate me as well.

The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

If the beep stopped then what is the problem you want help with now?

turn the power off
and let the machine sit for 5 mins
if it still wont open then the door interlock has frozen up
and youll need to pry it open
best leave this too a tech
its a grim job anyway
and worse if you have no idea what to do

If it is cooling OK, try unplugging and leave it for 5 minutes but if the beeping returns and everything is normal, it could be a problem with the control board...

Try unplugging the unit from the wall, wait 5 minutes and replug back in. I had same thing happen to me a few months ago. I had to leave my stove/oven unplugged for 24 hours to finally get it to reset itself. It is working fine now.

Unplug your refrigerator from the ac outlet, and 0open theref door for approx. 5 minutes. Then plug it again, after you hear the beeping close the door. wallah it's fixed.
