SOURCE: Region Code

1. Press DVD "OPEN/CLOSE" key on remote Control (R/C) or main set to open the DVD door (note: if no disc on tray, then no need to open the door);
2. Press R/C numeric key sequentially 9735 (entry code, no display on TV), enter DVD region code setup menu.
3. Press R/C "down direction" or "up direction" key to change REGION CODE,"0" is all code.
4. Press R/C "OK" key to confirm.
5. Press R/C "SYSTEM" key to exit DVD system setup menu

SOURCE: I have pretty much the same problem that everyone

I did it tonight, worked on the Akai for two hours. I don't have any electronics experience and just followed what these guys did and spent less that $20 for parts and supplies from Radio Shack. Bought three different capacitors, mine was 1000uf 35wvdc 85+, a solder kit, and a desoldering vacuum tool. My soldering wasn't the best, actually the worst I have ever seen but I figured if it doesn't work, I could care less anymore. Apparently it worked. My first TV fix and i made it work! Philips Home Theater - Annoying high pitch sound while on standby

I have the same problem with the same model, so obviously it's not a single-unit problem. My only solution, since taking it back isn't feasible at this point, is to have a DVD on play-pause so that it's not on standby. Waste of energy, so I don't do it all the time, only when I'm sitting in the room late at night making the high-pitched noise hard to ignore.

When I turn on my Philips lx8500w dvd player my wireless internet stops working, what may be the problem?

the lx8500w uses the same frequency as the wireless (2,4Ghz). I bought the same system, it's ********. Just problems and after 2 years it doesn't work anymore (goes to standby after 1 hour or so). Try to change the wireless channel. Or buy another home cinema...

Need speaker connection diagram of Philips HTS6515

Hi,
You will not get anything to do like that sir,
But you can do one thing, thats you can tap the wire of speakers to get a connections extra to join the speaker separately,
but here one drawback is there when you do like that the company people wont provide the warranty just keep in mind, because here there is a physical damage, for physical damage no company provide the warranty.

STANDBY LIGHT KEEPS BLINKING

Unplug the power cord, wait for 5 minutes, plug the power cord back in and try to operate the unit.

If this does not work, you will have to get a technician to look at it for you.
