Just got this thing, put a fresh battery in it and still nothing! I am unable to make the remote work
You may need to follow the included directions to pair the remote with the device that you are trying to use it with.

sandraw, try disconnecting the tv from the ac outlet for a few seconds(20-30) and reconnect and then try your remote, in your description you do not mention if this remote is the original equipped remote that came with the tv, but i am guessing it is since it is a fairly recent model. You also don't mention if the tv works with the function keys(pow,volup/dn,chn up/dn etc)this also might point out to wether there is damage to the ir preamp board, a bad preamp board would also impair the overall function of the remote as well as the customer selection from the built in function keys. hope this helped and please leave your positive feedback, if i answered your question.thanks!

You have to hit the rest botton on the furnace for the led to pick up the remote always you can go to your rv manu and it will help you out if not you can go to any rv lot and they will show you how to rest your systems

The most likely answer is that one or more of the batteries is in the wrong way around.
