SOURCE: I have a problem with my board Gigabyte

Do the fans still start spinning ? And did you do a CMOS clear ?
You should also try booting it without a graphics card and/or any other audio/network card, etc, so you only have the CPU and motherboard (and also try it with 1 RAM bank and without). When it beeps, it's probably alright (implicating other failing hardware).

When you hear no beeps at all (but the fans spin), it's pretty likely that the board is gone. You might want to doublecheck the powersupply and CPU nevertheless.

SOURCE: 8-9 bios beeps then shuts off restarts and more beeps

There is a problem of your devices attached to your motherboard, it could be the memory. Remove the memory card and then clean the pins with an eraser of pencil and put it back. Remove the graphics card and when the system boots then probably the graphics card is doing the problem but when the problem still persist then your memory card does the problem.

SOURCE: Dear Friends i

you need to flash the bios .

download the new bios from gigabyte website and follow their instructions on how to update bios. be very carefull when doing this because if done incorrectly it would render your motherboard useless permanently .

in my experience if your m/b is working its best not to update the bios only time i would update the bios would be if the new bios update has new features that i really needed . if not i would not really flash the bios .

GA-G31M-ES2L supports 2TB Internal Hard Disk

Hello the manual can be downloaded here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3485#manual

You probably just need to format the drive so you can use it.

The harddrive where windows is installed on must be connectet to sata 0 or 1. port
The drive you have mounted can you connect to the sata 2 port.

If the bios sees it its ok.

Here is some youtube video:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+format+a+drive&oq=format+a+drive&gs_l=youtube.1.0.0i5l6.2190.7786.0.11662.14.14.0.0.0.0.136.1465.8j6.14.0...0.0...1ac.1.jazllrVg7G8

This shows you how to format the drive. But it depends on your windows system

Good luck

I have changed the motherboard from Intel to Gigabyte(GA-G32M ES2L) since then the problem of my pc freezing while playing games started. My configuration is Processor:Pentium D...

1) Make sure that your Power Source is giving enough energy to the new Mother Board and make sure it's compatible.
2) Make sure that the new Mother Board is compatible with all of your current hardware, you can check this in the webpage from the Mother Board Company.
3) Check the voltage requirements for the Mother Board, check the BUS speed of the Mother Board and compatibility with the transfer speed of each of your current hardware.
4) It's never recommended yo change only a Mother Board since usually there's going to be problems with the rest of the hardware if it wasn't changed, if the problem persists, you'll have to buy new hardware that is compatible with your new Mother Board.
5) If you know how a BIOS works and how to configure one, you could also check the configuration in the BIOS, not sure it will work but it's worth a try if you know what you're doing.
