what you need to do is just resetting your machine.
1. Press * 28 * on your machine in a quick move.
2. Select copier
3. Select Err.
4. Select Clear then press O.K
5. Turn your machine off for 1 minute and turn it on again.
The error code will not be there anatmoreand your machine will be functioning well.

Hi Error code E 020 0181 means that the patch sensor has turned bad or is dirty, to access this try removing eac dev unit and gently unscrew each top so that the patch sensor window is visible. Also, check whether the toner hopper is overfull, it happens sometimes that the toner motor worm gear splits as a result of the hopper becoming packed tight. This may cause the worm gear to split and break if the hopper is 1/2 full or less. You may need to replace toner motor, part number (FH7-1762-030). If the toner motor is fine, then check whether the web solenoid is activating. Clean the web solenoid and ensure free action. This would clear error E020. If the error still not disappears then make sure that the DC controller is fine and the connections from the controller are fine. Hope this helps... Daniel
