My rear wiper stops in the wrong position. It wipes fine, not slowly, but always stops in a random location, usually, several inches up from its normal stop position.
SOURCE: rear wiper hangs loose, wont wipe
Sounds like the spring has broken in the wiper arm. If you pull the cover off of the base of the wiper arm there will be a screw. Remove the screw and pull straight out on the base of the arm. That will release it from the actuator. You should be able to pick one up at a parts house for about $20 to $40 dollars or you could shop a salvage yard for about $10. Hope this helps. Good luck. Please re-post with updates. Thanks cj2176.
SOURCE: whindshield wipers stuck in a vertical position
This is an easy fix. Likely ice got on your windshield and froze your wipers to the glass then when turned on moved out of position. Take the cover off the base of the wipers and loosen the bolts. Put them down all the way and tighten. When wipers are turned on when frozen to glass the gears want to move but cant and loosens at the base. Please let me know if this does not help and will look into it further but this is probably it. Thanks
SOURCE: front windshield wipers stall or work very intermittantly when on
It is likely that where the wiper arm is attached to the linkage it is either loose or stripped.

I had the same problem. It was the wiper computer module according to the dealership. Fortunately it was covered under extended warranty and cost $100 deductible.

Have they checked your TPS sensor as this is the most common cause for rough idles and stalls...
