The basket motor error indicates that the basket motor can't move the basket properly. Take out the basket and check for anything obstructing the basket path. Check the basket lift is correctly installed. The manual for one Perfect Fry system is here: https://www.perfectfry.com.au/static/uploads/files/l20-401-r0-pfc-owners-manual-international-english-wfqnsmuwiuah.pdf . Look at the installation diagrams for the basket lift on page 11 (page 13 of the PDF). The trouble-shooting section is on page 34 (page 37 of the PDF).
If there is nothing blocking the path of the basket lift and the rods and arms for the basket lift are correctly installed, then the motor may be faulty. The motor module is part 2HT689 on the models for the above manual. This system has a 2 year warranty on parts. (Note the labor charges are not included. In the first year, parts and labor are covered.)
I fixed my machine with this error by doing the following.
You need a T8 torx screwdriver and a thin flat blade srewdriver plus a replacement CR2032 button cell. Ensure that the S9 is disconnected from its power adapter. First pry up on the setting rotary knob at the top of the S9 and remove. Next remove the T8 torx screw from the bottom corner of the machine. There are then four slots located on two of the sides. Insert the flat blade screwdriver into one of the slots and gently push inward to unlatch that finger while also lifting/prying up the bottom cover. You should then be able to work your way around to each of the fingers and lift the bottom cover off. This then exposes the circuit board. There are two more T8 torx screws holding the circuit board in place. Remove them and carefully lift the board slightly. You can then see the button cell in it's holder at the corner which can now be removed and replaced with the new CR2032. The S9 can now be reassembled in the reverse order. Once reassembled, connect the power adapter but do not power on yet or you'll get the same error message as before. Hold down the power button and then while still holding it down power up the machine. Good luck, hope this helps.
It sounds like you need to put in the bobbin basket. These are held in place with a latch on the left rear. You turn them with a screwdriver. The latch goes above the edge of the bobbin basket when properly seated in the grove it rests in.
you might need a new clutch basket, it could be worn take out clutch plates and check for groves in the basket they may be sandable but you might have to replace. good luck
Tilt the unit back & shine a light through the clear plastic of the outer basket & see if you see clothing stuck in between the outer basket & inner basket. The floating basket should lift up & down if you grab the inner basket from the inside & lift up.
if you file the grooves, the plates will move about and likely break the basket, as the filing is not likely to be exactly even it will cause poor clutch opperation. sorry i dont know what years will fit but they dont change that sort of part each year, the bike breakers\wreckers may know that one.
The hot water did work for mine. Here is the solution I discovered:
After removing the food plunger and juicer cover: (1) Unscrew the 3 screws that hold the cutting blade plate in the center of the basket and lift off the cutting blade plate; (2) Unscrew the base counterclockwise (it will unscrew from the threaded center piece) and lift it up; (3) Lift off the basket and juice bowl. Now you can clean the basket and juice bowl.
