First question would be, is the compressor running? If yes, then there is a refrigeration issue. If no, then there is either a control issue or compressor component issue. We really need to do the question and answer "game" in order to troubleshoot. Let me know if I can be of any possible help. Good luck!

Check these two things first. 1. Is there a thick frost buildup on the back panel at the bottom half of the freezer? 2. Do you hear the fan running inside the freezer? Let me know what you find.

JennyT just trying to help with this. I assume this is a self defrost model. If so then is there an ice build up on the back wall? If so then the unit isn't defrosting. That is why pushing the Fast Freeze button is no longer working. You can get by however. Remove all the food from the freezer, put a vacumn in the freezer and shut the door. Turn on the vacumn, this will pull the warm air thru the freezer and in 30 minutes to an hour it will be defrosted enough to work until you can get someone to replace the 1 of 3 parts that the defrost system uses. The vacumn is what I use to defrost my nonself defrosting freezer. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
SOURCE: Relay clicks, compressor doesn't start
try replacing the relay/ overload you can buy a supco replacement there's 2 of them one covers 1/15 - 1/6 and the other covers1/3 - 1/4 its really easy to wire up and cost effective. any questions don't hesitate to contact by e-mail [email protected]
SOURCE: Freezer won't run
There is no reset switch. There is a thermal overload protector mounted on the compressor. Does the compressor hum and then give a click sound. If so your compressor has failed. If the compressor is cold (Room Temperature) and it does not try to run your thermostat may be bad. If so remove the temperature control and jumper the two main wires that connect to the control. Unit should be unplugged to do this operation. Insulated the wires so they do not contact any metal surface. Plug the freezer back in. If it runs and cools replace the thermostat.

It sounds like the unit is low on freon or the compressor is going bad. You have several other components that could be affecting this as well. Make sure the coils are free from dust and clean underneath. This is a bit premature for you to have problems now, especially since it is a Sears product.
