Hard Reset-Simultaneously press and hold the power button + volume up button + home key until the Samsung logo appears, then release only the power button. Release the volume up button and home key when the recovery screen appears. From the Android system recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset.

To replace the screen, carefully follow the process below.

• Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Four screws need to be removed.
• After removing the screws, then you run a credit card along the sidelines of the phone so seperate the front and the back of the phone,
  
• Unscrew the rest of the screws you will see,
• Lift up the panel of the phone, then detach the flexi ribbon that connects the screen to the main panel,
• Lever up the screen with the credit card.
  
• Replace it with a new one,
• Reverse the process to reassemble the phone.
