How to center a screen?

call tech support...tell them # of flashes

It looks like a dynamic focus problem. But I think you'd have to call a shop. It would require a part order, soldering, and likely more test and troubleshooting. It could be guessed that it's a dynamic focus transformer or similar, from looking in the schematic.

It appears that you may have a green drive issue. Try adjusting the Sreen Control it is located in the front of TV.
1) Remove Speaker Grill (it just pulls off) start at one end, 2) Remove cover (5-6 screws), 3) Adjust control. The control is located on lower right side towards bottom. A small black device with 2 rolls of controls, adjust the center control on bottom row counter clock wise, until you get a black and white picture.(adjust with color control to min).
If this does not work you light bulb (CRT) is bad about a $750.00 repair.

This TV could have one of several problems including but not limited to; convergence IC's,bad capacitors, shorted horizontal output transistor. Call a good TV Tech. Check with the BBB before you decide on one.

check the closed caption option in the menu, should be set to off or cc1

Cover green CRT lens with towel and see if red/blue video is normal......= bad CRT ?.............................T.

YES - - - Will send the service manual with disassembly instructions - - just send me an email and remind me of the model number. I get nearly 3000 emails a day and I'm over 50 so I'm likely to forget this post in an hour or two. :)

if you go to the menu on your tv it should show picture you may need to snoop around for it but its there and when you do find it adjust it untill you got a nice picture about the tv not being full on the screen try buying wide sceen movies it should help but the adjustments should help the most
