Hello there:
My dishwasher will not work at all.
Investigate these four areas if your dishwasher is not working at all:
Power Supply
Your
dishwasher may not be receiving any power. It is somewhat difficult to
check for power at the plug outlet because the plug for a dishwasher is
usually behind the unit. You should make sure all the circuit breakers
of your circuit breaker panel are in the correct positions, or check to
make sure no fuses of your house fuse panel are blown.
Door Switch
A properly functioning door switch will shut your dishwasher off when
the door is opened. A defective door switch may not allow your
dishwasher to operate at all. Examine the door switch and test it. If
it is inoperable, it will have to be replaced.
Cycle Selector Switch
It isn't very common, but it is still possible that your dishwasher's
cycle selector switch has become defective. Test the switch to
determine if it is the cause of your problem. Replace it with a new one
if it is.
Timer Motor
Your dishwasher timer will not function if its motor is defective. And
if your timer is not functioning properly, then the dishwasher itself
will not function properly. Test your dishwasher's timer motor, and if
it is broken, you can replace either the entire timer assembly or just
the timer motor.
SOURCE: dishwasher not working after power outage
Occasionally there is an isolated GFCI circuit for the dishwasher. If you can validated with a voltage meter that the unit is actually getting power.
I used to always install an isolated GFCI circuit for each: microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and garbage disposal.
So that is what i would check first

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. To turn off the child lock press and hold the
Energy saver Dry for 10-15 seconds. If this does not help the unfortunately you’ll
have to replace the control panel. Please
do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks

SOURCE: Had a Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher installed by
Hi. We have the same problem. Dishwasher was installed about 3 months ago. There is an easy 'temporary' fix.
Completely turn off the dishwasher by flipping the circuit breaker to the off position. Wait a couple of seconds, and flip the circuit breaker back to the on position.
The dishwasher console must be getting into a bad state and not sensing the console panel buttons. The circuitry in the dishwasher is never really "off" as some amount of power has to be "on" to be ready to sense the touch panel. Turning the circuit breaker off and back on likely resets all the functions and makes the unit operable. We have been operating the dishwasher this way for about a month now. Luckily for us, the circuit panel is 3 steps away from the dishwasher...but this is getting old.
Hopefully this solves your problem ... reply back here one way or another...if this turns out to be a common problem & solution,it will give me more faith that Samsung will be convinced of a problem when I call them after the holidays.
