SOURCE: connex 3300 c.b radio
The Connex radio is a division of Cobra, and no offense, but Cobras are one of the cheapest radios around. The problem with your Connex is a simple receiver malfunction. The receiver probably worked great until it was put into storage for a long time, you can replace the receiver, or you can fiddle around with the receive gain until you hear something. But you may just want to send it to a radio store and have it looked at, to be honest with you, Connex is a terrible radio, they sound good, but they're terrible radios. Go with Galaxy or Uniden radios, you won't be disappointed.

The Cobra 29 has always been a good talking radio and is preferred by truck driver mainly for that reason! The Connex is a great radio in it's own right but sometimes needs a little help. I would suggest a power mic and there are many to choose from but Astatic is a clear winner! My two cents for a suggestion!

Bad RX/TX Transistor? I don't have a diagram for the 4600. Sorry!
SOURCE: after you convert the connex 3400hp from ham to
you will need a frequency counter, to show the channels. 1-40 and the others are allocated as frequencies. there are lists available showing ch1 band A is ??? so forth. there shouldn't be uppers or lower on it its just a AM/FM only radio NO SSB.
and these ARE NOT AMATEUR / HAM radios!!!!!!! these are EXPORTS...
