If you are using the standard SNES cables with the round red, white and yellow 'Jack' plug connectors they are referred to as "Component" connections. On your remote there should be a button marked "COMP". It will probably be near the top of the remote near the Power button. This should switch the TV to the channel you need.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Are you talking monitor rather than tv? I have an LG 22 inch monitor and the on off button is on the bottom, If I don't hit it right or just tap it, it won't turn off but flashes. Where do you have it plugged in? Is it with some other electronics, or right to the wall outlet? I'm really at a loss as to what your problem really is. Are you using the remote? One quick fix might be the battery's in the remote. If they don't have enough power, short or no signal will be sent to tv or not being able to decipher it.
replace the power supply board. You should be able to get the replacement power board from www.tvcircuitboards.com send them a email [email protected] if you dont see it listed as they only list a few of the boards they carry
i had the same problem. i opened the panel in the back of the tv (3 screws) and opened the aluminum panel (3 screws). there's a red led light located at the bottom left corner of the top board. to the right of the led light, you will find this thing with 4 switches. i turned the two bottom switches "burn" and "epmw" to on. so far tv have been working.
