SOURCE: LG WFT1391TP Top Load Washer - Black Clay Pieces in Drum

Caustic soda. Be careful to wear gloves. Fill tub with water, cold will do, put in about 100gms of soda and turn on a extra large wash cycle only. Don't let the water drain, allow to stand over night, then complete wash cycle. You will find that hugh amounths of lint come loose. Repeat if necessary. I now do this about once every two months. Another thing to remember is to always leave lid open when machine is not in use, this prevents musty smells.

I have become obbsessive in sorting out the problems discussed and am now looking for a service manual for a WF-T7014PP as i want to remove the pulsators to ensure ther is no lint stuck in there. If anyone can assist please mail to [email protected]

SOURCE: Water leak under the rotating drum

Have you removed the front panel?

If not remove front panel two screws 5/16 on bottom

Start the washer in a cycle. look with a flash lite and look for leak.

It maybe the rubber boot.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I will also need model number, because a AWS52NW is a top loader model number not a front loader.

I have a Speed Queen Commercial Heavy Duty Alliance Model # AWN432SP113TWO1 washer. It spins out of balance even with light loads. Moves around area. What do i need to check

Get the drum struts looked at. Most washing machines, both front and top loading, have a type of 'suspension' holding the drum in position. This also restrict how far the drum can move side to side during the high speed spin cycle. This suspension can go soft over time letting the drum move too far.

My 1998 speed queen has black fibreous material coming in to the drum and staining garments black. The filter is good on the water supply. Can this be coming from the bottom bearing of the drum?

Remove FILL hose and try scraping out inside with a screwdriver. If you get the black stuff- fit new hoses.

Or , remove drum and look for build up muck
. If you have this you need to change your washing habit.

My speed queen wash properly it drain properly but when it come to spin it go very very slow and it make like jurking movements

Some times the clothing will be piled up mostly at one side of the drum after the completion of the washing/draining cycle. This is normal. When the drum starts spinning/rotating to dry the clothing it is unbalanced and the drum will then not reach high speed due its banging against the outer casing which will also cause the jurking movement. Rearrange the clothing inside the drum by spreading it evenly around the agitator. If this does not solve the problem the machine might be seriously overloaded ( too much clothing). Take some clothing out and see if its is better. If it still persist then open up the front panel by unscrewing the three screws at the bottom of the panel and lifting the panel up and out. Please disconnect the electrical power supply first. Look inside the machine for the van belt between the electric motor and the big pulley underneath the drum. Check the condition of this belt as it might need to be replaced. ( badly worn over all, inner rubber area cracked badly, rough sides ect). TAKE NOTE: Replace with genuine Speed Queen part as a normal vehicle v-belt will not work. Pressing against the belt will be a small pulley attached to a swing arm under tension of a spring. Slight shortening of the spring might help but only as last resort.

Speed Queen washing machine pump, part no 27041,

The impeller shaft has a water seal. This seal wares out after a period of time. The hole allows water leaking through the seal to escape. There is no known repair to this problem except replacing with a new pump. Trying to block up the hole is a waste of time.

When the spin cycle begins the washer vibirates and moves on the floor. After the spin cycle reaches the maxium speed it stops. The springs are fine, but what else could be wrong?

The machine is probably not leveled properly. To level the machine, partly fill it with water. Make sure that the drum is standing in the middle of the machine and then adjust the machine until the water is at the same level all around at the nearest set of holes to the water. Check that the drum is still in the center of the outer drum. Make sure that the adjusting feet are all firmly on the floor and that you cannot rock the machine at all by hand. A top loader must be 100% level or it will shake.

What is the capacity (Size) of the Speed Queen Marathon Washer?

Pi,r,squared times height. Remember math back when we didn't have computers? So that's 3.14 x radius(half the distance across drum)squared(times itself) times height or depth of drum. Remember to do radius times itself first, then Pi, then height.
