SOURCE: I purchase the Whispur 510

The first thing I would suspect would be the Starting Capacitor which give the Motor the kic to start.

As you've only just purchased it I'd say get it fixed under warranty but if you want to have a look at it yourself you could try the following.

Turn the unit on and try and spin the Fan manually with a stick as if it starts it could slice your finger. If the Fan continues to spin then it is the Starting Capacitor thats failed.

If it doesn't the next thing to check would be with the unit turned on you're getting the correct voltage to the fan, but to do this you would need a multimeter. If the voltage is their then it's the Motor thats failed, if there's no voltage then it's the controller thats failed.

If you need any further assistance then just ask.

Fan blades not turning

First check all the breakers. Locate the breakers to the outdoor unit, turn them off, then back on. If that is not the problem, you likely have a capacitor blown to to power surge, or static charge from a close lightening strike.

Honeywell digital thermostat stopped working

Sounds to me like you have a low voltage short. If the stat had no display until you installed the battery means there was no voltage for the stat to work. Putting the battery in proves the stat works, no motors turning on probably leads to a blown low voltage fuse generally a blade fuse on circuit board in indoor unit. Good Luck

Cleaning a 14F0 Honeywell Fan

thank you for using fixya. The blade cage has locks and screws that you can remove from the back. once the cage has been removed, you can remove the blade attached to the motor using a vacuum cleaner or you can remove the blades by undoing the screw on the center detaching it from the motor.

Hello,help please

My fan is doing teh same thing. I have been taking the cover off and spinning the fan blade manually. It takes about 1 minute of constant manual vigorus spinning but as soon as its warmed up the fan blade spins easy and just takes off and starts working. Im sure its not the safest thing to do but it does get the fan running for the rest of the night. Once the fan has been turned off for a while the blade is hard to spin again and I have to start over with teh manual process. I am thinking its the motor being I can manually get it started by spinning the fan blade and think I will check on the cost for a new motor

Cleaning

turn the fan over. on the back you'll see ten holes around the circumference of the cage. use a torx screwdriver of the proper size and remove them. the front part of the cage will come off. the blades are a press fit over the shaft and locating pin. have someone hold the body and pull off the blade.
