It fell, lens stays open. When turning it on, lcd says 'lens error' and then turns off. Does anyone know if this can be fixed? Thanks.

The only way to fix a lens error is to send into casio and have it fixed. Call them at 800-706-2534 option 2 and tell them you have a lens error. They will tell u how to go about sending it in for repair.

My fujifilm finepix f60fd dropped one night and i tried to fix the lens. But now it wont allow me to take any pictures and is saying '' zoom error''. it does allow me to veiw my pictures.

Does it turn on at all, can you see things through the viewfinder or back screen (LCD) ?

My guess is when it fell, the lens got pushed in or to one side and it is now dented or bent and its getting stuck or hung up.I know that with my little canon if my finger is even touching the lens when it is trying to turn on, the camera wont work and i get a "Lens ERROR" code. My guess it is a safety feature so you dont burn out the tiny motor in the les system. youd either need to send it out for repair or ues this as a perfect excuse to up grade to a newer camera. One more thing, when turning the cam on, can you pull the lens out physically?

I dropped my Nikon Coolpix S220 and my lens is stuck. When I turn it on it has "lens error". Can someone please help me?!

I do not know how many times I've seen this question, and knowing that I asked this question so many times in the previous years, I know the answer now.

The thing is the lens are gone, nothing can really cure it unless you spend up to hundreds repairing it. If you still have the warranty, you can send it up to the manufacturers, but other than that, it's either a new camera or spending more getting it repaired.

I bought two nikon cameras, my first one got a bit of sand in it, I only took it out once at the beach, and what do you know it says lens error the next day. GONE. my SECOND one fell from about 2 feet-3 feet also, the lens were pushed in and it made an EH EH EH sound, as for all lens errors do. It was GONE.

My advice is to save up for a new camera , and get a SONY or CANON, or one w/out lense.

Error message E18

Lens errors (E18 errors on Canons) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

but i do know for a fact its because there
is something like dirt ; hairspray ; make up etc.
in the lens .
idk how to take the camera apart ..
but your best luck is to kind of jar your camera with your
palm or a book or something .
mine fell on the floor at first and was fixed ,
but today i dropped it in a little bit of sand and hasnt gone
back down yet .
im hoping i can fix it :/

Lens Stuck

Same problem guys!!! LENS HAD GOT STUCK - ABOUT ONE THIRD OUT after a knock. After lots of playing, and tapping and batteries in and out tried the whole twisting and pulling thing whilst turning off and on.

After a few minutes it came free and whole lens popped out. I then had to twist the outer part of the lens to straighten that up and allow it to fully retract. Works a treat now!

PS Tried the Sony online chat support - useless!!!!
