The part that generates the microwaves has either blown a fuse or has gone bad, Remove the cabinet cover to expose the fuses.

SOURCE: Microwave turntable won't stop running

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, but may instead be a loose door switch mount or a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, linked here on Fixya: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

PRELIMINARY REPLY

This is just a preliminary reply. We will need more information to help you.

So you're saying you can set the cooking time but when you press Start it won't start?

If this is the case, you probably have a bad door swithc or door switch mount.

Please reply back with more detail so we can help you.

you may have gotten a power surge and that can cause some funny things to happen, 1st is there power to the oven, 2nd if so there may be an internal fuse protector built in to the oven, check with the manual for anything of that sort listed. if not you may have to take it in and have it repaired by a pro. there is a lot of voltage in these ovens and unless you know what you are doing a person could get hurt

SOURCE: panasonic microwave no power or light

I must have suggested this 20 time today. if you open the casing you will find several fusees that the manufacturers don't want you to know about.
you have a 10 ampish large fuse that protects the power circuits ( transformer/magnatrons) smaller fuses for control circuits also might want to look atand reset the thermal cutouts. if it overheatedprior to failure

Miele M 625 EG Microwave Oven

A malfunctioning control panel or membrane can cause erratic behavior in your microwave oven. If the control panel is not registering the start command correctly, it may interrupt the cooking cycle. Try cleaning your membrane and control panel with a soft and damp cloth to remove the dust.
If cleaning doesn't resolve this issue, try resetting the microwave oven by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in.
The microwave may not generate the required heat to cook the food properly if the magnetron or high voltage capacitor is defective. This could lead to the timer counting down without any heating action.

My Miele H6800BM microwave stopped heating. Over and everything works fine but when we switch to microwave function and set time, it starts running but it doesn't heat.

If your Miele H6800BM microwave is no longer heating food and there is a noticeable change in its operation, it is likely that there is a malfunction or component failure specifically related to the microwave function. Here are a few potential causes for the issue:
1. Magnetron Failure: The magnetron is a crucial component responsible for generating the microwave energy that heats the food. If the magnetron has malfunctioned or failed, it can result in the microwave not heating.
2. High Voltage Diode Failure: The high voltage diode in the microwave circuitry is responsible for converting the AC power supply to the high voltage DC power required by the magnetron. A faulty diode can prevent the magnetron from receiving the necessary power and thus lead to no heating.
3. Faulty Capacitor: Capacitors in the microwave circuit store and release electrical energy. If a capacitor associated with the microwave function is defective, it can prevent the microwave from generating the required power for heating.
Given the symptoms you described, it is likely that there is an issue with one of these components. It is recommended to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer's customer support to inspect and repair the microwave. They will have the expertise and necessary equipment to diagnose and resolve the specific problem with your Miele H6800BM microwave.

Daewoo KOR-1N0A microwave oven not heating

This is most likely the fuse in the high voltage magnetron circuit (that is the microwave generator). This fuse is usually inside an inline plastic case that can be opened for replacement. Don't attempt this unless you have some experience and can work from just this clue. Otherwise take it to a professional repair shop.
I would guess it is only worth repairing if you think this may have been caused by overloading the oven (i.e. putting something metallic in the oven). If not then the fuse may have blown due to another problem and you would be better off to buy a new microwave oven.

Not working

It sounds like 2 separate problems:

1) One of the cooktop lights may have shorted. Sometimes this happens and causes damage (repairable) to the control circuit board. Sometimes it will result in the lights or fan not working, or not turning on.

2) You may have a bad magnetron. See this FixYa solution.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

My microwave runs but does not heat up

It sounds as though the commutator is bad.
You want to try unplugging and replugging it back in. That might work.
But, you will probably have to replace it.

Microwave making dull thumping noise when NOT in use

I called a technician out today. Seems like the problem is the circuit board. It wasn't working properly and the sound is the fan. The fan is supposed to turn on when the microwave is in use and off when it is not. In this case, the fan continued even when the microwave was not in operation. A new circuit board has been ordered and will replace the old one when it arrives. For now, I can still use the microwave, but I have to unplug it everytime I finish heating something up. A little inconvenient, but at least it'll still heat my food up in the meantime.

Microwave stopping working

check the fuse on the microwave. if its busted, something shorted out in the oven that tripps off your breaker. it could be your inverter.
