I currently have internet access and "E" mail through Verizon via a land line; also have a G-Mail account on my I Pad. How can I eliminate my Verizon "E" mail and continue with G-Mail on my computer

Well...technically you cannot 'eliminate' your Verizon eMail account as that is how Verizon 'recognizes' you as a customer on their site. You have to use that to log into your Verizon account to pay your bill or change your services...etc.

That said, you do not have to keep logging-in to LOOK at your mail. If you are using a pop3 mail-client, (like Outlook, or Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail,) then there ARE steps you should do to 'remove' that account from whichever client you have...or they can be set to keep the mail they have so-far, but not to download any more from that account, it depends on the client, and what your preferences are.

If you only look at your mail using a web-browser and going to verizon's website, then again, you would just stop doing that.

One-by-one or all-at-once? Ok, I know your answer.
That's the reason I don't use that app. I only check my mail by my web assess.

Since acquiring Apple Mac I notice on my BT Mail (my preferred choice) I seem unable to see mail that is older, I can only see mail to bottom of page, why is this please?

If you use a touch pad place the cursor over the list of emails and then place your two middle fingers in the middle of the touch pad, swipe up the touch pad. If you use the mouse do the same except you can use one or two fingers to swipe up.

Can't get new mail

Try holding down button at top to turn iPad completely until Apple logo appears on screen. That's a complete shut down. Leave off for two minutes, turn back on. If still not able to download email, contact Apple. Sometimes it's Yahoo or other provider that's holding up the works. If case, Yahoo might suggest creating new account. See if total iPad shut down works first.
