Suggest checking with your local Husqvarna Viking store for parts you need. A "welt cord" foot may not be available for your machine. Sewists will usually use a zipper foot since it can get the needle close to the welt cord.

Hello. Are you putting the presser foot down before sewing? Check also the stitch length, set it to at least 3, and make sure it's not set to a darning stitch or hand embroidery stitch that lowers the feed dog.

Elgin 2468, no manual, it is not making a stitch. Threaded and thread in bobbin.

try a brand new needle. Could also be threaded incorrectly--make sure the needle faces the correct direction. Possibly the machine is out of time (needle reaching the hook at the wrong time to intercept the bobbin thread). Search for: sewing machine timing

Adjusting tension discs on Elgin 2468

Begin at the number four. The knot created between the tension control and the bobbin should end up in the middle of the fabric. The tension control and the bobbin is in a "tug of war". Adjust the "tug of war" stronger or weaker on the upper tension control to get the knot to arrive in the center of the fabric.
