My magenta ink will not print out. All other colors (including black) are printing out fine and alignment is good. I have run the nozzle check, head cleaning, status monitor, and ink cartridge replacement, and still cannot see any magenta on the test page or on the nozzle check print-out.

Depending on the age of the printer and how often it is used it could be a dead piezo element in the magenta head or some dirt that is trapped in the feed mechanism to the head. That's why i never use refilled or poor quality substitute cartridges. Some Epson printers lasts for ages but unfortunately due to the head being permanent on all epson inkjets the only way out is for the replacement of the heads or a new printer. You could also try the magenta cartridge on another same model epson if you have access to one to see if the cartridge is perhaps a dud. Or alternatively purchase another cartdridge and check it out.

MP530 all in one printer - bought Staples magenta & blue inks but printer won't print those colors but did print older Canon inks not needing replacing; bought new Canon magenta & blue inks but...

What you can do is take the ink cartridges out of the print head and remove the printhead. Hold the print head over a trash can and take some 409 cleaner and spray the little pads inside the print head til you start noticing the colors dripping into the trash can. You will them want to dry off the print head as much as possible and litely wipe off the outside and the bottom of the print head with a paper towel. Then reseat the printhead back into the printer and the inks. You will then want to run a nozzle check from your printer software or from the printer properties. If the inks still are not showing up run one or two cleanings. If the issue still persists then you might have to replace the printhead. If this is the case you can look up part number: QY6-0059-000 online to replace the print head.

Epson Stylus CX4800 prints blurred pictures

ok..first you will need to print the nozzle check and see if all the color are printed out fine.. this feature is under the printer properties , under the utility tab.... assuming all your colors nozzle are printed fine..then the next thing for you to do is do the Print Head Alignment.. it's under the same place where you print the nozzle check.. when you press the Print Head Alignment, it will print a page out with many lines.. choose the one with the best alignment.. once u done that..try printing the image again..
oh..if your nozzle check print out is not good.. then you will need to perform head cleaning to clear the clogged head..

HP Photosmart 3210xi - some colors (magentas) will not print

Remove the magenta cartridge, and try cleaning the head with alcohol, maybe with a small paint brush or an acid brush. It sounds like ink has dried and plugged up that head.

Faint lines on printing

Keep running the nozzle cleaning. It should eventually sort itself out. Also try aligning the print heads.

Not printing magenta ink and tried cleaning heads already

Hi, one or two head cleans won't clear a clogged nozzle. Try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink have some new ones ready. Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Epson cx7800 won't detect magenta ink.

It seems likely that either your magenta cartridge is faulty (or empty - the ink monitor doesn't show how much ink is actually left, only the amount used subtracted from a presumed full cartridge when new). The first thing to be sure of is that you have a good cartridge - install a new one. You can save the existing one for later use once things are OK again. If this produces no results, you can now be reasonably confident that you have blocked magenta nozzles. Note that putting in a cartridge and taking it out again several times will aggravate the situation by getting air into the system.

You can now try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head by hand fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on at any stage in this process. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then turn the printer on and try a head clean/nozzle check again. If nothing, repeat the process once more. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.

Very Faint Printouts

I find the best way to clean the heads is buy some cleaning cartridges as they have cleaning fluid in them and use them to clean it will take about 10 or more times to clean the heads then put the color ones back in and try again.
Just keep putting it on clean the head don't do a print out till at lest you have cleaned 10 or more times.
