SOURCE: CD Player Does Not Read CDs

Hi As you describe the problem, there are three likely possiblities, either the laser lense is dirty, the laser is beginning to fail, or there is a dead spot developing in the spin motor. Cleaning is the first step, and the least expensive...If you have some electronics experience, they are not difficult to clean, but you must expose the laser to do it, and I don't want to advise someone to do that, and forget to unplug the unit. It's free laser eye surgery, but I doubt you would be happy with the results. I would advise you to call around to local repair shops, and see what they charge to check it out and/or clean it, and then descide if it is worth proceeding. Hopr this helps, good luck!

SOURCE: "err" with CD player

it sounds that your lens could be damage or your loading mechanism, 1st try using a cleaner to clean the lens if that does not work , your either need to get the factory stereo service or start thinking of a new radio

My cd runs but will not play the cd

Quite common problem. Repair it or replace your player if repair cost is too high.
Personally, I stopped using CD players time ago: I use a mp3 player.

Dvd -no picture

Sometimes the displays can't be sent to another tv or monitor. Make sure that isn't turned on. Sometimes there can be a short in the wiring if your unit folds up to play like a notebook computer. You can try moving the screen back and forth and see if the picture changes. If neither of these solutions work, contact audiovox and see if it is cover under warranty.
