Liftmaster 1/3 HP. Remote and wireless keypad stopped working.

Door works fine using wall button. Remote and wirless keypad stopped working at same time. Changed both batteries and no help. Followed instructions for resetting remote code and still no work. Light next to button on motor unit blinks 3 times (usually) when trying remote. Again, door fine using wall button.

The LED flashing 3 times is the code for a bad wall control. You can easily verify this by removing the wire from terminal 1 on the rear of the motor unit. If your remote and keypad start working you will know the wall control is bad.

I have a liftmaster formula 1 1280R opener that works fine from the wall mount but all of a sudden both remotes and the built-in remote in my car stopped working. It is not the batteries in the remotes. ...

The motor/control unit may have gotten reset. It needs to relearn the codes transmitted by the remotes.

MIne has a "learn" button on the control unit. Press and hold, then press the button on the remote. Lights will flash indicating it has received and stored the code. Release button.

Check to see if the remote works now. If so, all three should be working. If not, dig up your manuals.

REMOTE CONTROLS WILL NOT WORK-WALL BUTTON FLASHING RAPIDLY

Does your wall switch have a lock feature? By pressing the lock button, the remote control is disabled. A flashing light indicates this feature has been activated.

To deactivate, press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds. The flashing should stop and your remote should work again.

Liftmaster 1/3 HP - humming, but does not open.

It's the gear drive. There are kits online for about $40, if you're semi-handy you can replace it yourself. Search for liftmaster replacement parts.
