File contains no image data error in my nikon coolpix P510?

I am not finding my photos in the card anymore wheni connect my card to my computer.

Just putting in a memory card will not necessarily give your camera memory. Step 1 will all cards is a FORMAT FUNCTION when the card is first installed. It ALSO has to be a compatible card.

I assume you mean transfer from internal memory to card?
This is on the menu system - simple scroll through the menus to find transfer.
Also the MANUAL[Handbook] will tell you.
no book - look on the software disk it is there as a PDF file that can be read/printed.

I just purchased a new battery door for $15 with shipping from nikon. They sent a simple assembly diagram and I was able to replace the door in 30 minutes. I used a dremel to cut the old door off, but you dont have to do that. I got a little impatient.

Just buy the plastic piece and u can reuse the metal parts for your old battery door.

Sounds like you need to download the photos you have taken to your computer and erase them from your camera...or put in a new memory card.

The memory card was setup for your old camera. Try formatting the memory card using the Nikon camera's Menu settings.

Call Nikon they can fix it they ask you to send it to them and they tekk you how much you send it and they fix and mail it back it shouldnt cost that much nothing is broke.

As long as you have not taken any more photos or added other data to the memory card you should be able to recover the images.
Firstly though, have you searched your computer files for the images?
If you can't find them there then have a look at www.pandorarecovery.com or www.undeleteunerase.com Both have free downloads available. and can find lost files on SD cards.

Hi, I have the Nikon Coolpix 3000 and I've recently had some problems. I have only had this camera since December; Several times I have tried to upload pictures and "this file contains no image...

You can try to reformat the sd card. Sometimes cards will contain data that disrupts the reading process.
Also, sometimes if you edit images on the pc, such as rotating them in Window's image viewer, it will rewrite the image as a jpeg that is unrecognized in the camera.
Lastly, check to see if the photos are being saved to the sd card or the camera.
