SOURCE: White Sreen

Hi,
unfortunately it would appear to be a CCD or main board failure.
If the camera is out of warranty (as this should be covered) my best suggestion is to pick up one off ebay with a broken screen and put your screen in it, broken screens are common on these cameras so they go quite cheaply, far cheaper than kodak would charge for repair and the swap is easy.
There are several searchs to try "parts v1003" "spares v1003" "Faulty v1003" "repair v1003"

Best of luck

SOURCE: my Coolplix L18 wont let me do nothing

Hi

Take the memory card out of the camera.
You will see a small switch on the card (it is the lock switch)
Slide it to the opposite side and there you go!

It's easy to accidentally lock your card without even knowing it.
lol my mom just had this exact same problem and it was driving her crazy (she too didn't realize the card had a physical lock switch)

Have funn,
Bye

SOURCE: Finepix J20 Digital Camera- says:PROTECTED CARD!

My bet is that the little switch on the SD card is in the "lock" position. Switch it off and try again...

Testimonial: "Hi I left the comment about the Fine Pix Fuji J20 camera, and I am not sure where the sd switch is on the camera. please if you can let me know. Thanks"

SOURCE: My card keeps saying that it is write protected

There is a little slide switch on the left side with the connector away from you and connector on the bottom. Slide it towards the connector or away from the connector.
This may be your problem or the switch may even be damaged.

Memory card is locked and cannot delete pictures

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Kodak Easy Share C182 camera is telling me to remove protection to delete pictures. How do I do this???

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked/protected", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. There are also other common causes if the above didn't help, with troubleshooting steps for this problem listed here.

Go into the playback mode and delete from there. The pictures might be protected or locked. In that case you will have to go into the menu of the playback mode and unprotect them.

I have a Kodak Easy Share C182 . I want to delete some pictures and it tells me to remove protection to delete, and it also tells me image is protected please tellmje stepby step how to clear this...

The most common cause for telling you that the card is locked is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position.
- see photo below:
Set the lock slider to locked or unlocked.man-3ds-sdcardlockswitch-287-181.png
  • The down position will enable write-protection, locking the card.
  • The up position will unlock the card, enabling you to save and erase data on the card
