The best solution for any home theatre setup is a good universal remote. Some of the best ones are from logitech (used to be Harmony). They are capable of controling ANYTHING, and are Easily web programmable. Most common devices and stereos are already on their website so no long configuration is necessary. take a look at logitech's website: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/372&cl=ca,en for example would be a good buy. go down to your local circuit city or futureshop or such, and ask for a Logitech universal remote, they will likely know what you're asking for. Bigger is not always better, but getting a logitech remote will solve all of your universal remote problems for a long time to come. They're easy and always "updateable" online for the newest equipment available

Sorry,
You might have to use the menu button on the T.V. itself (if it has one). I have issues also with my Comcast remote in that they will do just very basic functions. The only other option I can provide as a solution would be to try an electronics retailer such as your local radio shack, best buy, frys, etc. Not much else can be done with the Comcast remote unfortunately.
