This is generally an indication of a lime build-up in the water tubing. If you take off the sprayhead and insert the metal deliming tool into the water tubing all the way leaving out about 1-2 inches and twist it about 5-6 times, this should remove the lime deposits from the water tubing. Then flush out the machine with 2-3 decanters of water. If this doesn't fix the problem, then call customer service with the model and date code for further assistance.

i had the same problem, but the hose/tube was never clogged on mine. when i opened up the coffee maker, it was completely clear. I firgured out that the hose was lose. (not completely detached), but just pulled away a little...enough to let air in and so it wasn't drawing right. kinda like when you have a hole in a straw. it won't work. Anyway, I sealed it better. no big deal....and it works absolutely perfect again.

Why does my Bunn coffeemaker spill over the filters when I use Bunn Filters.

I purchased a special flow restrictor sprayhead from BunnAtHome.com because I use decaf coffee. Also if you use a finer grind then you need this to slow the water so it doesn't overflow.

The water gets hot and does not perk. There is no lime in the tank or tube and I filled it until it ran out. Is the water temp really crucial to make this work? I turned up the thermostat and saw...

Try using a bunn deliming spring.Remove sprayhead and run thru the brew tube all the way into the tank.If the water is hot the brew tube is partially blocked going into tank.

Filter basket overflows after cleaning Bunn VPR Coffee Maker

Some people also try adding fresh grounds to brewed grounds, resulting in an overflow. A restricter valve can be used, but a better solution is to simply pour in half the water at a time. This is what people who buy non Bunn filters do to stop overfills.

your problem is caused by the pour-in tray leaking where it mounts to the tank. There should be 2 screws under the pour-in lid, and a third toward the rear of the brewer. if you take them out & lift up carefully, you can see the pour-in tray. in the bottom of the tray, there is a bolt that mounts the tray to the tank. If you remove that, you can lift the pour-in tray out. Be careful, as these trays get brittle over time, and are prone to cracking.

BUNN VPR

It sounds like the tank isn't full. Unplug the machine and make sure there is a pot underneath to catch water. Pour clean water into the tank until it starts flowing out. Plug the machine in and let it heat up. Then try brewing coffee.

The way your machine works is that there is a holding tank for the water and it isn't actually brewing with the water you just poured in, it is using the holding tank water. If the holding tank gets low, and you pour water in all it does is fill the tank but nothing will come out.

Hope this helps.
