SOURCE: cd will not play and keeps ejecting

source http://www.kenwood.nl/support/veelgestelde_vragen/ Changer Error Codes ? E-00: Poor Cable connection. ? E-01: Magazine not properly set in changer. ? E-02: No Disc in magazine. ? E-03: CD does not have selected track number. ? E-04: Disc is dirty, upside down or unreadable. ? E-10: No data is recorded on the MD. The player plays the next disc automatically. ? E-99: Changer malfunction, disc may be caught in machine or changer requires service. Sounds like the mech is gummed up, jammed, or a cd is stuck inside. Get a nerd to open it up and check it over. 2009 Toyota Yaris. My cd player was playing but when I start the car again it stop and eject the disc but didn't want to take any cd disc after that.

Car CD Players get dusty from road grime. Buy a CD Cleaning Disc and run it is a couple of times. The laser that reads the tracks is much lower power, and if it can't read the whole tracking system, it ejects the CD. The cleaning disc has little brushes that cleans the optic lenses.

Why does CD player read disc, then ejects?

It tries but can't read the disc, then it ejects it. If CD player plays other discs OK, then it is the disc. If it won't play anything there is a problem with the CD player.

2007 toyota camry cd player reading error 1

I had the error code no. 1 in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has the CD radio unit with JBL system. It will not eject the CD, or play it. I removed the entire radio/CD unit and replaced it with a used excellent unit bought off of ebay for $100, and the replacement works fine. However the replacement is also 7 years old. Therefore I would not be surprised if it failed again. Prior to the error 1 I had intermittent error 3 codes, which had the same effect: no playing of the CD, unable to eject, and unable to insert other CDs. Sometimes the error codes would go away, and the function would be normal. But once it started, I think it was on a downhill path. A new replacement is nearly $2000. Used are about $100 to $200 or more depending on the seller and condition of the unit. Youtube has videos on how to replace the unit which only requires simple tools: it is not difficult but takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If you do it you have to put the car in gear to move the gear shift gate, which requires the car to be on, so you should have the parking brake on for safety. One alternative is to send your unit to a repair company but that might cost more than simply replacing the unit. Good luck!

Cd will not eject from cd 3.gives disc error message and will not read the cd.. disc errors on cd2 and cd4,but will eject the cd.will not play cds. have unplug both units for an hour. no change...

My first guess would be that the loading belt is slipping. This will prevent the cd from loading completely and thus won't read. The belt costs around $2-$3. Care must be taken when opening up this unit.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Discs will not play.

Could be some dirt on laser lenses. Try to clean it.
