Ir3035 cassette 1 paper sensor not responding

Error codes 501, 502, and 503 on a Ricoh MP-8001 indicate a problem with the paper cassettes. SC441 is a drum motor error code. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot these issues:

1. Check the paper cassettes: Make sure that the paper cassettes are properly loaded and that the paper is not jammed. Check that the paper guides are set correctly for the paper size.

Cassette sensor switch inside the machine body. Remove cassette outside and check machine body bottom where cassette is installed. Switch Has been misalignment by unfortunately. Align this two Switch Sensor Then again install cassette. Hope its working.....

If one of the doors on the Cassette Pedestal is open, then the main unit will display the 'check printer cover' message. Check to make certain all of the doors on the Cassette Pedestal are completely closed.
Note: These doors are located on the lower left side.

Solution :
It may be necessary to refit the vertical path guide for cassette if it was not hitting the retry sensor, PS152, in the cassette unit.
Note that every cassette has a retry sensor (PS152).

check the jam position, the sensor arm there must not be returning to norml position after first copy.

Technical Infomation 0105/0101/0102/0103/0201/0202/0203/0204 Jam Code: Paper lint adheres to surface of vertical path roller



Description
Since a type of paper that can easily generate lint was used, the paper lint adhered to the surface of the vertical path roller and decreased the paper feed performance of the roller, causing the jam code "0105."
Depending on paper sources, the following jams occur.
- Cassette 1: 0105 (registration sensor PS9 delay)/0201(cassette1 retry sensor PS10 stationary)
- Cassette 2: 0101 (cassette 1 retry sensor PS10 delay)/0202(cassette 2 retry sensor PS11 (cassette pedestal) delay)
- Cassette 3: 0102 (cassette 2 retry sensor PS11 delay)/0203 (cassette 3 retry sensor PS1 (cassette pedestal) delay)
- Cassette 4: 0103 (cassette 3 retry sensor PS1 (cassette pedestal) delay)/0204 (cassette 4 retry sensor PS2 (cassette pedestal) delay jam)
To prevent this, a vertical path roller to which paper is hart do adhere was used for the following machines (the color of the roller was changed from black to gray).

When the symptom occurs with the machine without the foregoing serial numbers, replace the vertical path roller.

your case seems the cassette feed unit can not detected by cassette unit sensor which locate around the paper input roller area.you need to check
1) the cassette push in the well position which can touch the sensor well egnough
2) find out this sensor and adjust the sensor sdander position (more sensitive).

Clean the Paper sensor which is down button use to feed the paper & the paper edge sensor on the carriage unit

Hi, For those models available with a 2nd paper cassette, the "Check Cassette#2" will appear if the 2nd cassette sensor does not detect the paper cassette. So my thinking is that 1: the cassette is not seated in the printer correctly (not trying to be insulting, but it can happen to anyone) or 2: the sensor that "sees" the cassette is either out of place, or it has dust blocking it. (It could also mean that the sensor itself is bad.) Good Luck.
