No suction in Hoover Linx - Hoover Vacuums

Probably a poor design factor that really cant manage the dog hair in the first place !! I always suck a few small coins up and you can hear if they get a unrestricted journey to the dust bag , if you have a blockage you will not hear them clank around as they will get jammed !! this will let you know that your machine is blocked or jammed up causing poor suction !

your battery is Shorted. it is time to buy a new vac or a replacement battery.

sorry that is such a short hand answer but that is what the charger is telling you.

Locate the dimple somewhere around the edge of the two components to be separated.
Put a sheet or drop-cloth down and work on that to prevent anything from being lost if it opens suddenly. (it should be fine).
Use a large flat head screwdriver to pry it open.

more than likely you'll have to order a new handle. Those machines are built in pieces so you just cant replace switch, motor, etc....

The wires from the battery to the brush motor get broken and you have to solder them back together. I just did this. Now it works again. They break in the connector that swivels at the head. If I were doing it again I'd use new wire!

However this can be a problem:There could be a clog in the hose or the bag/tank may be full and need to be replaced or emptied. Also, check the belt to see if it is worn or broken, if it's defective replace it.

Could be a clog of course. Id run a coathanger or something similar through the tunnel the dirt goes up through.

Another thing is if the dirt cup and filter aren't seated right, it could stop suction.

You could take the dirt cup off, and turn the machine on, and see if there is any suction right at the motor, carefully of course. That could rule out a fan/motor issue.
