SOURCE: redeeming a gift card when sticker is torn apart and I can't read the code. I have the card number

If it has an 800 number on the back call that and be prepared to have any information available that you can. If it does not then the best bet is to go to the web site for the card and do the contact us to find a support number to call.

SOURCE: where is the claim code for my Amazon gift card

On the back of the card under a stick or scratch-off rectangle, pretty close to the middle of the card. If the panel is silver, you can usually peel up the edge with your fingernail and lift it. If it's one of the older gold colored ones, you'll want to scratch it off.

SOURCE: When I scratched of the redeem code on my Amazon gift card it took most of the code with it. How can I red the card with no code?

Look at it sideways under a light. You should see the sillowet of the numbers. Usually they are stamped on the card with a machine and if your lucky it indents the card slightly so if the numbers come off you can move the card about slowly while under a light looking at it from the side until you can at least see the outline of the indents

How do I use the gift card I received for payment I have put it in the payment slot and still says I need payment.

To redeem your gift card, go to the Amazon site and search for Gift Cards then click on"Apply a gift card to your account." . Find a claim code, on the card under grey protective coating and very gently scratch it off and reveal the claim code. Your purchases will be read in the "current Balance" and will remove the $ amount on your card, with each purchase. Enjoy spending!

About Gift Card Redemption Problems

If you're having problems redeeming a gift card to your account, it's possible that the gift card claim code has already been redeemed to your account. After you've entered the claim code on our site, we'll keep the balance in your account for use on future purchases so that you don't need to enter the claim code again. If you're seeing an error message that the gift card has already been redeemed, it's likely because the gift card claim code has already been applied to your account. To check whether the funds are already on your account, view your gift card balance in Your AccountYour Account. If you're still having problems, check the Gift Card Terms & Conditions to make sure your order meets the rules and restrictions for paying with a gift card. If your Amazon.com Gift Card claim code is scratched off or can't be clearly read, you can contact us with the 16 or 30 digit number on the back of the card.If the gift card is for a retailer other than Amazon.com, please contact that retailer for assistance.
