i have the same problem, not fixed by hard reset or enter any number, its because the phone have an Android security password and its shows any time

Maybe tou entered the password wrong when you set up the phone.

I attempted the above in order to hard reset my Europa i5500. However, it didn't work, and instead just went back to the "enter address/password" screen. I've attempted to connect to Kies, but to no avail, Kies doesn't register that the product is plugged in. I can get the phone onto download mode and emergency download mode, however neither are helping me much. Any suggestions?

HI pavanmaridi1 ok you need to go on your computer and reset your gmail password. Do this first log into your gmail with the pasword. You need to see if this is correct. Now if this is the correct password there is a method you can use to unlock the phone it is very tricky. You need to place the samsung in emergency call mode. Next while it is in that mode you need to call the phone from another phone. Answer the phone do not hang up the phone you now need to do the hard reset on the phone.The trick ios to do it while it is still in the emergency call mode and you can not disconnect the phone. ok If you have trouble with any of this you will need to go to the carrier have them help you with this. I done this a few times you can google the hard reset process for the samsung. OK Hope this help

try the last 4 digits of your cell phone number.

A hard reset will clear everything out of the phone and reset your password. To perform a hard reset on a samsung take out the battery and removve the sim card and power on the phone. when it comes back on type in *2767*3855#. The phone will go thourgh a reset process and when it comes back on take the battery out again and put your sim card back in and power on. It should be completely cleared including the security password.

Try this

1. at the same time hold the menu button (top left) and the jump button (bottom left)
2. This will bring you to the emergency screen (it gives you the option to make an emergency call)
3. Open to the keypad and hold in the menu+shift+q buttons at the same time.
4. The phone will reset and clear/unlock the security code

I believed someone had entered too much inccorect passwords so it totally locked. You probably try a Hard Reset to bring the unit back to default setting but you may loose some data in it. To perform hard reset just hold the power button and reset button with your stylus at the same time and push.

you can use default password 0000 or 1234 and reopen your phone
