I have a vivitar full hd 1080p action cam dvr 786hd and the package says it comes comes with a downloadable software but have not been able to find it. is there a link I'm missing?

In the settings menu, go to video settings. You can have the PS3 search for "optimal settings" This will tackle both video & audio.
On a side note, you didn't need to spend all that money a HDMI cable. ( I'll bet it's a 'Monster' cable, right? ) The $16 Phillips at walmart is just as good. Unless your doing "broadcast quality digital" work, the expensive cables are overkill. Sorry, bro.
