ADVICE: HDMI does not like on some sets being connected/disconnected with the unit/s powered up.

The set (this is possible) may in this situation see nothing connected and disable that input.

Look in the owner manual to see if there is a reset or contact the not so helpful people at LG as a last resort.

Try the input settings on the t.v. I have to set mine to "component 2" before the box works. On "TV' it only does a limited amount of things. If that doesn't work, take out the components, DVD / cable box / game console etc. and re-arrange them. Then try different inputs, worked for me. Hope I helped, Grim

Take your Shaw remote control, and follow the instructions on the back. If that does not work, telephone Shaw, and ask for technical support for TV.

When using this type of adapter you only feed video into the TV/monitor
you have to use a separate set of RCA audio wires to feed the audio into your tv.

Are there more than one vga plugs? If so switch them up and or change on your input selection til it's a clear picture.

I have had the same problem and I spoke to a tech at one of the tv repair shops in Edmonton. He says it is a long standing generic problem that Shaw is having with the HDMI connection between the pvr and tv's, I have a pvr replaced twice and the problem remains. The last Shaw tech says to use component cables and it will solve the problem which I believe is an admission that the problem identified by the tv tech is true. Doesn't help with 4 hdmi.and two component inputs

How do I link my shaw cable remote to my daytek TV

If your Shaw cable remote is universal, you will need to find the codes to program the remote to work with your Daytek TV. If it is not, you need to purchase one (usually @ $10) and program both devices to function with the new one. I hope this helps and good luck.
