SOURCE: MY LG WASHING MACHINE SCREEN KEEPS ON SAYING OE

It is a long drain error and appears when the washer is not fully drained after 10 minutes of draining. It can be due to a clogged or kinked drain hose, clogged pump filter, or the pump is not working properly.

LG Front Load Washers Drain Problem Troubleshooting and Repair Guide

  1. Remove the two screws on the back of the top panel securing it to the cabinet.
  2. Slide the top panel to the back of the machine then lift it.
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the control panel.
  4. Pull the dispenser drawer out and remove the two screws under it.
  5. Lift the left side of the control panel and pull it out.
  6. Remove the four screws holding the top part of the front panel to the cabinet.
  7. Open the pump filter cover and remove the screw holding it.
  8. Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver or a putty knife in the left and right edges of the filter cover then pull it out.
  9. Remove the screw from where the pump filter cover is removed.
  10. Open the door and remove the door gasket retaining hoop by stretching the retainer spring.
  11. Peel off the door gasket into the drum.
  12. Tilt the front panel and remove the door switch wiring harness connector.
  13. Lift and remove the front panel from the cabinet.
  14. Remove the sump drain plug and drain the water in the sump into a shallow pan.
  15. Remove the sump hose from the tub by loosening the clamp holding it.
  16. Remove the drain hose from the drain pump and the recirculation hose from the recirculation pump if there's any.
  17. Remove the two screws holding the pump assembly to the cabinet.
  18. Push the pump assembly in and lift it out of the machine.
  19. Remove the pump filter from the pump housing and check it for any obstruction.
  20. Check the sump and drain hoses for any obstruction.
  21. Remove the drain pump from the housing and check the impeller for any obstruction or damage.
  22. Replace the drain pump if the impeller is damaged or if no obvious obstruction is found in the pump filter, sump hose, or drain hose.
  23. Install the new drain pump and reassemble the other parts in reverse of the disassembly steps above.

SOURCE: E2 error comes up on

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

You replaced the lid. Did you transfer any possible latch devices from the old to the new lid. Some lids have a magnet that has to be transfered. That magnet activates the switch. Some lids have a plunger or arrow shaped device that needs transfered that goes into a hole to activate the lid switch. Hope you still have the old lid to look at.

My LG top load washing machines WF -T8019TC show an error code E2

The E2 error code on an LG washing machine usually indicates a problem with the water supply. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the water supply: Make sure that the water supply to the washing machine is turned on and the water pressure is adequate. If there is a problem with the water supply, fix it and try running the machine again.
  2. Check the water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the water flow into the washing machine. If the valve is faulty, it can cause the E2 error code. To check the valve, unplug the machine and turn off the water supply. Remove the hoses from the valve and check if there is any debris or damage. If the valve is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the water level sensor: The water level sensor is responsible for detecting the water level in the washing machine. If it is faulty, it can cause the E2 error code. To check the sensor, unplug the machine and locate the water level sensor. Check for any damage or debris and clean it. If the sensor is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact a professional for further assistance.

HAAM FREE STAND E3 error?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkMCdjJdKRs
The E1 or E2 error code is an Auto-Stop Protection Error, indicating an issue detected by a sensor. This error code will require service. The E3 error code displays when an Abnormal Operation Protection Error has occurred, and activates to protect the unit from damage. This error code will require service.
https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/e1-e2-or-e3-error-code-CT10000014-1340721215523
In this case, you need to drain water and remove the laundry. Then, run the rinse mode to clean the drum. Next, start the technique to make sure that the OC error has disappeared. If the washing machine is not correctly connected to the drain hose, OE, OF, E3 will appear on display.

F3 E2 error code on my Maytag washing machine

I just had the same problem with my MayTag washing machine - F3 & E2 error codes.
I cleaned out the drain trap then proceeded to remove the top and rear panels to check the Temperature Sensor. The sensor was tested with an Ohms meter and found to be working properly.
I went over the wiring from the Temp Sensor and found that both black wires had been 'cut' under one of the zip ties near the bottom of the washer.
I had to reconnect them with marretts and presto; the washer works perfectly again. If you encounter this same problem - be diligent in going over the wiring. I missed it the first time around.
It's an easy fix for anyone who can strip a wire of the plastic coating.
Good luck :)

From what I just read in your manual E1 and E2 are Sensor related issues and indicate that the unit has shut down to protect the unit. To see this in the manual click this link or paste it in your browser. http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-LP0711WNR Then click the "manual" link and scroll through your manual until the end of the troubleshooting section. Will your machine go into any other modes or is it just stuck on 95 degrees?

2005/2006 model LG Troon washing machine. Washing cycle ok, spin cycle stops incomplete and LE shows on didgital display.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall Effect sensor is used in these washers which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when there is an issue with the motor or when the Hall Effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sensor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
