SOURCE: Compound mitre saw won't shut off unlss unplugged

Relace the switch.

I am presuming the lock button has not been inadvertently pressed ... Check that first.

The condition you deacrive is dangerous. Please fix it before you use it any more.

If you require additional assistance, let me know.

Otherwise, check RepairClonic.com for parts and technnical instruction from their crack crew.

Thanks for the opportunity to lend you a hand

SOURCE: Makita LS1013 Sliding Compound Mitre saw will not

there is a stop underneath the base that should put pressure on the table to lock into any position. I would unplug tool and turn over gently and look at the condition of the threaded rod which pushes the stop and the bracket that holds it. The stop itself could be worn or the rod might not be putting enough pressure on it. Also look at the cam for the slide to make sure the tube is not stuck inside it from applying too much pressure on it. You can remove it and "squeeze shut some and then I would reverse it" If the black knob has come loose and the hex nut has backed off the rod might not be long enough to hold the stop. You can go to Makitatools.com and download a breakdown to see what I am talking about. Let me know if you need more help.

You may find, you have a lock, button, that needs to be held in, before you can drop the saw to cut.

I have a Makita 10 inch compond mitre saw. My owners manual has been lost and I need the tables that show what degree to set the mitre and bevel for various degrees.

You can get it at Makita.com, type in yr modal number in the search bar, download a parts breakdown or a manual, if not u can order a new sticker from makita.

My saw is really stiff when you try to change the angle .I oiled it but this didn't help. I would like to know how to take it apart but I am un sure how to do it and what is in the boxed off area...

Exploded diagram with parts list for LS1016 10" Dual Slide Compound miter saw is here.

Owner's manual is here. If these aren't quite what you need, you can view other models of Makita miter saws, here.

One thing to bear in mind. There's a miter angle lock and a slide lock on the bottom front of the saw. If you don't have the miter angle lock loose enough, it will be difficult to turn the saw.

How do I remove the threaded rod from beneath the turn table of a Mikita LS1013 Slide Compound Mitre Saw ? I have removed the two black turning/tightning handles but cannot see how the rod is removed.

if you removed the handle from the rod you would need to put a pair of pliers on it gently and remove it. or if you turn it upside down and remove the tube from sliding mechanism you can grip the rod from there and unscrew

My makita sliding mitre saw is off a few degrees How do I adjust...non laser...10''

The vertical blade stop is not true vertical. What adjustments are there to adjust the stop?

If you look on the back of the saw where the pivot is, there should be a bolt on either side that should adjust how much bevel there is . As for a 90 degree angle, there should be a locking pin or stop to keep it from leaning out of square. Be sure that it is accepting the pin properly and that it is clean. Not sure if there is an adjustment on the sliding saw, but i know there wasn't on my dual compound mitre saw

I have a makita mitre saw and need to adjust the angle to 45 degrees. I unlock it and try to turn it but it won't turn. Any ideas?

you have to turn the handle, it works like a bolt, you cant see it but it is tied in, you have to unscrew it before trying to move it
