Did you acknowledge which language your camera is to use?, Usually you need to OK the choice for all the settings options.

3final option is SETUP press right key again
a larger selection screen apoeears with symbols from camera Icon down.
press down arrowtwicethen right arrow the display highlight should now be yellow. press down arrowtwice more and you will be on Language scroll right arrow and english is the last box starting Italiano Francais Espanol Chinese Japanese then ENGLISH select with centre button then exit menu. It should then have an english display
