1600mx wont run in forward over load light comes on

Most common reason is that there is paper would around the cutters, imposing an additional load on the machine. You will need to access the cutter assembly (disconnect all power) and manually remove all of the paper that has impinged between the cutters.

If you have run any labels or paper with gummed strips through the cutters, you may wish to consider throwing this one away and buying new. (In all fairness, it "can" be cleaned, but it is going to be a real dickens of a job to do).

If you decide to keep your shredder and clean the cutter assembly, remember to oil it on a regular basis per the instruction manual.

As for me, I use Fellows shredder oil
Fellowes Shredder Oil 12 oz Bottle with Extension Nozzle 35250
and oil my machine every time I dump the cuttings. I run a bead of oil in a serpentine pattern over a sheet of paper and then just shred it. (If you have never oiled the cutters, it may be too late to do so now. Something you need to do on an on-going basis).

Any suggestions about Jambuster problems in a Fellowes DM-1200ct?

most paper shredders are at max with 4 sheets of 80gsm a4 paper to shred any more is overloading the system
because you have the same problems with the same make of machine , I would advise to return it under warranty and ask for a refund as the machine is not fit for the purpose and is not operating to expectations and then buy a different brand with service back up agents

My shredder squeaks when in use, does it need regular lubrication? If so, what do I use?

Visit the link below for various types of shredder oils.

Regular use of paper shredders creates paper dust that can dry out components, dull the blades, clog the machine and burn out the motor. However, with proper oiling and maintenance, a paper shredder can last for years.
Oiling a shredder can be accomplished using one of two quick methods. The paper method limits excess oil to the paper, reducing the chance of it splattering when you turn the machine back on. This method is more common than the second and can be used with all kinds of shredders. The paperless method may be less common, but it is just as effective at removing dust buildup from the blades of the shredder.
The Paper Method:1. Place a sheet of paper on or above a surface that will not be marred or damaged should you spill oil on it.2. Apply the oil to one side of the paper in a wide zigzag pattern across the whole face of the page to ensure sufficient coverage. Do not saturate the paper with oil.
3. Turn the shredder on and run the oiled piece of paper through the shredder. As the paper shreds, the oil that has been absorbed by the paper will lubricate the blades. The motion of the blades will distribute oil so the shredder continues to operate smoothly.
3. Feed a few more papers into the shredder to absorb residual oil from the cutting assembly. The Paperless Method:1. Set the shredder to manual mode so you can control the direction of the blades and the amount of time the blades are in motion.2. With the paper shredder turned off, squirt a solid line of oil into the paper entry lengthwise across the paper-shredder blades.
3. Start
the paper shredder in reverse, allowing it to run for 10 to 20 seconds before stopping the blades. This will evenly distribute the oil to all parts of the cutting assembly.
4. Return
the shredder to automatic mode. Then feed two or three sheets of paper into it to absorb the excess oil from the machine. Tip:
How often you should oil your paper shredder depends mostly on how much you use it. Office shredders that see heavy use every day will need to be oiled several times a week, while home machines used occasionally need be oiled only a few times a year. Cross-cut shredders will require more frequent oiling than other paper shredder varieties because they have more blades and create much more paper dust.

MY FELLOWS GD1200 SHREDDER IS REALLY JAMMED WITH PAPER.WENT TH SHRED ENVELOPES AND TOO MUCH PAPER WAS INSIDE.hOW DO I UNJAM THIS? iVE TRIED REVERSE SLOWLY THEN FORWARD,ETC.IT IS STUCK BADLY.I SAW AN ANSWER...

First, UNPLUG IT!
2 - Then remove the top. shredding part and flip it over.
3 - Carefully, with your fingers, not a pliers, remove all the paper bits and pieces from the underside of the shredder.
4 - Turn it back to right side up, and place it on the basket as it should be positioned, then plug it in and turn it on in REVERSE first.
5 - Once it starts, let it run until it stops; it should only be a couple of seconds.
6 - Turn the direction back to normal, and see if it will run that way.

Good luck,
-a.

Shredder makes a horrible sound when shredding.

Just put a lightweight shredder oil on some paper and shred the paper...do this a number of times this will get the oil down into the cutting shafts.
