D3 will not show option to do firmware upgrade from 1.0 to 2.02

Copy just the AD3_0202.BIN file to the top level of a formatted CF card. Insert the card and select Firmware from the Setup menu.

Repeat the process using just the BD3_0202.BIN file.

Full instructions are here.

I've upgrade my psp 5.03 chickhen r2 to 5.50 gen-d3. then i reboot my psp, and then my screen turn blank. i remove my mem card and batterry. and nothing happens.. plss help me.

upgrading/downgrading or installing CFW in PSP is a risky business. the rule of thumb is to know if you have hackable or unhackable motherboard. if you had 5.03 chickhen before, then most likely you have a PSP-3000 or PSP-2000 v3 which has unhackable motherboard. you should have just installed 5.03 Gen-C or CFW Enabler 3.70, or upgraded the OFW to 6.20 and installed 6.20 TN-E or 6.20 PRO-B. 5.50 Gen-D3 is for hackable motherboards like PSP-1000 or early versions of PSP-2000. you have bricked your PSP!!!

for more details, check out sites like pspslimhacks.com, pspcustomfirmware.com or qj.net.

I have psp slim (PSP 2000) with 5.03 GEN C (Full), i cant play with the new downloaded games,,,...what's the latest cfw i can upgrade my psp, so i can play the new games i have,,,<>?? thank...

Hey there.
Before updating to 5.50 Gen-D3 (which is a higher version than yours), try knowing your PSP MoBo first. Why? Because, you may brick your PSP with the upgrade. Use PSPident to do that. Here's a link for that (MONSTER here!!!). Don't mind the monster, I just thought it's kinda nice doin' that. LOL
Now, do that PSPident in your PSP. If your MoBo appear to be TA088v3, DO NOT (never ever) upgrade to 5.50 Gen-D3 or you will have your PSP dead... If your MoBo is LOWER than TA088v3 (like, say, TA085v1 or v2) then go on with the 5.50 Gen-D3.
If upgrading doesn't solve your problem with playing homebrew, you may have downloaded a corrupted ISO or CSO file... Find a new torrent for that game again...
Happy playing...

Vista 32 Bit verses 64 Bit

Before you jump in and upgrade make sure your computer system is 64 bit ready otherwise it wont work at all....upgrading memory is never a bad thing will actually speed up things from running and will have a better response time....windows 7 does not require 64 bit but it desired if possible....
