SOURCE: my kitchenaid architect series II gas range is

In most cases, this is an indication that the Electronic Range Control (ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. The ERC controls all the features of the oven, so without it, you cannot turn the oven on or regulate the temperatures. You can attempt to reset it by unplugging the range for at least 30 seconds, first. Or you can try disconnecting each wire from the ERC and reseating it (one-at-a-time) to ensure you have good connectivity. However, if the problem persists you will need to replace the ERC.

If parts are required, you can purchase on line at the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

Use whatever parts source you like, but I have found these websites to be reliable, offer great service and the prices are usually cheaper than retail. The prices will differ between sites, so shop around for the best deals.

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, the part number for the ERC is 9762794. The cheapest website I could find it was on the Sears website for about $158. (Not a cheap part no matter where you look for it).

To replace (if necessary), follow these steps:

1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged.
2. Remove the screws that hold the back of the control panel in place.
3. Take note of the wire color coding BEFORE removing any wires from the ERC. Most control boards will have the colors printed on the board by the terminals. If yours is not listed, either write the wire color codes down or use a digital camera to ensure you note the proper placement of the wires.
4. Remove the wires from the control board and the screws that hold it in place.

NOTE: Most ERC boards do not come with the overlay (This is the plastic that covers the facing of the EOC with all the features on it). Remove the old overlay from the old board if you wish to reuse it and install it to the replacement board.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

KitchenAid range ProLine series kesv908 and ykesv908 Oven desplay comes up with err button stuck F2EO

Hi barbsofarell,

The error F2 - E0 code means a shorted keypad (also called touch pad). Please follow the steps below to correct the problem.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).

2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a kitchen add KGSS907 it is showing an error message F6E0 lost communications how do I correct this

F6 E0 means the switch pulse return line to the electronic control is not connected

The usual way to correct this is to replace the electronic control (clock).

You might want to check for loose or burnt out wires on the clock unit before replacing tho'.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your kitchen aid means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you’ll have to replace the electronic range control/clock (ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Replace oven UI -KitchenAid KGRS807SSS Gas Kitchen Range Problem

Unplug the stove for at least two minutes or throw the breaker for the same time. So far, has worked 100% of the time for me for all error codes. Apparently something gets out of whack and turning off or unplugging must reset the system.
