SOURCE: Will not drain or spin
Unless you jarred the machine it's the timer. You can check this by bypassing the lid switch and seeing if it will cycle.

brushes usually available on ebay,
if the drum rotates but does not spin, this could likely be brushes or component problem (i.e triac or relay) on control PCB. - the latter was the problem i had and this was easily spotted as a blackened track on the Relay on the pcb.
Brushes should be ~£5. - check the existing brushes first before buying them.
fitting is easy, BUT a word of warning..which you probably know anyway..
before meddling though in the machine, locate the large capacitor and with electical screwdriver and discharge all the terminals to earth first! - YOU MUST DO THIS TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK!! - even if the machine is unplugged.
remove motor & undo the back plate to release old brushes.
clean of motor of any excess carbon dust, - this can eventually cause arching if not cleaned away.
reassemble and fit all plugs back.
THEN TAKE 5 MINUTES TO CHECK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE BEFORE SWITCHING ON. -
Do not rush anything - take your time.

First clean around the rubber with some mould and mildew cleaner for bathrooms - available from most supermarkets.
This is a natural accumulation of waste detergent, fabric softener, fibres and dirt build up that is being attacked by bacteria and eventually decomposes into a sludge / goo and then eventually starts smelling bad as well.
To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away:
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

Your pump/filter is plugged. (E4) There
is a round door on the lower front of the washer. There is a small hole near
the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and
you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to
the problem. When the water is drained
in machine the door is open able.
Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter.
When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the
floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a
drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find
the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back
in. You can check with rinse, if you
want to make sure there are no leaks. Put
the door back on and rotate. I will try to come back to you re. the wash, wash.
