Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5640xw3 goes through all cycles, but does not fill with enough water to clean clothes.

After wash load, some clothes still dry and/or have detergent residue. Clothes come out smelly, dingy, grayed and stained. A lot of dirt and build-up along top of wash drum. We have tried many, many "solutions", but to no avail. No error codes appear. Valve screens have been cleaned.

SOURCE: Black particles in clothes after using a top loading samsung fully automatic washing machine

You said these particles stick to the clothes, do they come off and then leave a stain? It may be grease or oil coming from a leaking drum bearing seal.
If it is, This is a major repair and not one for DIY.

SOURCE: After washing clothes, water stays in the detergent tray.

Best plan is probably to take the detergent tray right out of the machine, then take it to bits before washing it out with hot running water and a toothbrush.

The problem with these things is that the bit that blocks up is pretty well hidden until you dismantle the tray.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Washer Leaking

For those wondering about replacing the water inlet valve - this is a very simple undertaking.  You can find the part online for around 40 bucks.  All you have to do is unplug the washer, detach the hot and cold supply hoses, remove the lid (3 torx bits on my model) unhook the water line from the old inlet valve (conveniently accessible at the top right of the unit from the rear), unhook the electrical connections (be sure to label these for later re-attachment), unscrew the 1 screw holding the valve in place, and reverse the process with the new valve.  I'm hoping this will stop water accumulating in the drum - I'll update later if it does not.

SOURCE: Washer wont fill with water/clothes dont get clean

Actually the machine is working like it is designed. When the correct soap is used, these machines clean clothes better than the old style. Try using a major brand of soap like Tide, Bold, or Cheer. Make sure it has the HE design on the bottle. This means that it is made just for the new High Efficiency machines. Also make sure you don't use to much. Read the directions. If this is done correctly, I'm sure you will find that it does clean great. I was like you when I first saw one of these new machines. "These is no way you can clean dirty and I mean dirty clothes without enough water to cover them. Well since, I have became a believer. They have put a lot of thought into designing these things. They had to of, for them to clean as good as they do.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 skips wash cycle and stops after 14 minutes to oL

oL is an Overload error. Try running a cycle empty.

If oL (overloaded) appears in display, the load too large. If an overload is detected, the washer will drain any water and detergent in the washer. Remove several items and add HE detergent. Close lid and press START/PAUSE.

Why doesn't my washing machine fill with enough water to wash my clothes properly any more

Unplug the washer for 10 minutes and let the board reset. If it still is not filling correctly, then the pressure switch or load size switch is faulty. Appliance Parts Suppliers sells Samsung Parts in Bolingbrook, IL sells samsung parts.

My Whirlpool spins... It just does not do a very good job

It's very possible that the impeller in the drain pump is striping out and not allowing the pump to get up to high enough spin to completely drain.

There is still soap residue left on the clothes after the wash cycle ends on my whirlpool cabrio washer

Possible that the Rinse cycle is not timed to fill in enough with water or there is obstruction within the inlet valve. Also if there is too much soap that is dispensed it can remain back after the wash.
check the above and choose a normal program or one which is different from the present cycle.

Clothes have a white colored residue after wash and parts of the clothes are bone dry.

Allison, We are sorry to hear about your concerns in regards to your Washer. We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball, and place around the agitator one at a time. We would also recommend stacking it up so it's around the sides and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to last row of holes in the basket to help overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. Since the washer uses less water than a traditional washer it makes it harder for it to remove excess detergent, and it can redeposit on the clothing. Use no more than 2 tablespoons per load, filling all the way to the top row or holes. Make sure the water heater is at 120°F, the best temperature to mix with cold water in. A lower temperature may not make the water hot enough, and the detergent will not dissolve properly. The oL warning comes on, just after the machine fills with water then it clicks through the cycles the water drains and the oL signal comes on. This even happenens when the clean cycle is operating.

oL Overloaded.
"oL" flashes when you got too dang many clothes in there. 18 pounds dry weight per load is what I go by. If the load is fine you could have an item of clothing in between tubs not allowing basket to engage.

I have had my Cabrio washer a little over a year. No it isn't suppose to do that. There is a setting for spinning high medium and low spin. Maybe you can change the spin setting manually. See if that works The washer is computer operated so the spinning cycle must be out on your normal cycle. I did myself a favor and I keep all clothes on towels and sheets. I set the temp for the water on what I would like manually. The washer fills up with more water and seems to clean the clothes better and My washer does the same thing from time to time about not spinning. Just remember you can set all wash manually with water temp and spin cycle. Is your washer still under warrenty?

Lg front load washing machine does not seem to get the clothes clean. I think it is because it uses so little water??? How can it get clothes clean with just a few cupfulls of water? All controls and...

I have run into this problem several times with LG washers. On one job LG had us replace every electronic componet that had anything to do with the water fill and the problem still was not resolved. The electronic control determines how much water to fill depending on the load size, so smaller loads give you less water, with the same amount of soap. Leaving clothes in the washer overnight, and leaving the door closed does contribute to mold and fungi growth in the washer. The customer tried different brands of soaps and different amounts of soap. He left the door open after usage to allow the unit to dry out, and tried different cleaners, to clean out the sludge build up. We determined that there just is not enough water to thoroughly clean the clothes. The sales store had to replace the washer with another brand. There is an ongoing class action lawsuit against Lg for this problem. Do an online Search for lg washer lawsuit. By the way, we don't have a problem with clothes not getting clean with the Whirlpool Super Capacity Duet Front-Loading Washers. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Water not filling on washer

the inlet filter is probably clogged restricted and/or inhibited flow of water into your machine.
These things happen, and cleaning out the filter is a good first step to finding the problem.
