SOURCE: husqvarna chain saw oiler

My Husky 36 did this. The oil pump drive gear was stripped and had to be replace. It's located under the flywheel/sprocket so you have to pull that. I couldn't find info on how to do that so had a local shop repair it for $70! Parts are cheap, labor is not.

SOURCE: Husqvarna 359 leaking chain oil

Remove the sprocket cover, bar, and chain. Find area where oil is discharged from case--is any part of the rubber seal damaged? Next, use compressed air to clean sawdust and dirt from oiler ports in rear of bar as well as the chain slot. Are you using motor oil instead of bar oil? Make sure there is nothing to prevent bar from making close contact with oiler port in case. Reassemble all parts and adjust chain tension.

SOURCE: just got a homelite 33cc

Yes you do! The ratio is 50:1 fuel to oil. Be sure to use a modern synthetic saw oil available at home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Be sure to use fresh fuel and mix the two in it's own container. Be sure to shake the container thoroughly each time just before refueling to prevent oil starvation in the engine. Don't make up more than one gallon at a time unless sawing is your business. Hope this helps!

How engine oil i put?

You mix the petrol with "2 stroke oil" at a ratio of 40:1. Use good quality 2 stroke oil like Husqvarna or Stihl rather than the cheaper ones you get in service stations.

You also need to use Chain Oil which goes in the opening marked Oil. You can get chain oil from any tool hire company or hardware store. It needs to be refilled each time you refill the fuel mix.

What is the fuel mix for 359

hi there troyandbec

pauly46 here
'
the ratio you should use is 50:1

that is 20 mils of 2 stroke oil for every 1.0 litre of petrol that you mix

so if you want to make 2 litre mix use 40 mils of 2 stroke oil , then add 2 litres of petrol only and give good shake

note use good quality 2 stroke oil , such as sthil or husqvarna oil from your outdoor power shop

but if using general 2 stroke oil from a garage use 40 mils of oil for every 1 litre that you mix
this ratio is 25:1 this mix is on the richer side

cheers hope this helps

What is the recommended oil/fuel mix for Husqvarna 136 chain saw please?

40:1 is the recommended mixture for husqvarna chainsaws. Use husqvarna 2 stroke oil rather than the cheap types you get at car service stations as they will not protect your saw like the good quality oil.

No problem; using a borrowed Husqvarna 44-don't know fuel mixtures (if any). The chamber for "oil"-is that engine oil (if so, what do you recommend) or chain saw oil (if not, is there another...

The mix fuel mix is 40:1. Use Husqvarna 2 stroke oil not the cheap stuff on sale at car service stations. The chamber for oil is for chain oil which can be bought at most places that sell or hire machinery like chainsaws, lawnmowers etc.
