Sounds like the heater core may be leaking and antifreeze vapor is blowing up on the windshield if the fog is on the inside.A good glass cleaner with ammonia in it should clean it.Use newspaper with the glass cleaner.

Windshield wipers not working!!! Tried various things and it still won't work.

Having windshield wiper/washer problems? Here are some more common problems.
  • Motor:
The wiper motor is commonly replaced and was often not the problem. Don't replace the motor yet. maybe it's not the motor. It could be a fuse or something at the wiper switch. The wiper motor has two windings, fast and slow. The wiper switch sends a ground signal to each motor winding. More often, there are problems with the relay, or at the wiper switch, or in the cable to the motor.
  • Windshield Washer:
Don't be too quick to replace the washer pump. The problem is often just a clog in the sprayer heads. You can clean out the sprayer holes with a needle, some have two holes, so look closely. Hope this helps.

Defrost will not defrost my windshield

You do not mention the type of car you have. If you have air that blows out the defroster and panel vents you should have defrost. Do you smell a sweet odor coming from the car? This could be antifreeze leaking though the heater core. This will cause your windshield to remain foggy.

I have a 1995 GMC Sonoma that will not start when turn ignition switch lights will come on etc but engine will not turn over battery is good etc but nothing happens

Make sure all the ends on your battery cables are clean and tight. I got a tow in because my car would not try to start even tried boosting to no avail. All my lights and radio was working but they said the cable was corroded and would not let the full power work. We replaced the battery cables and worked like new now.

My windscreen becomes foggy in no time as soon as I start driving in cold weather?

if the fog is on the inside of windshield and does not feel oily i would look for a water leak into the heater asm or the vehicle. if moisture on windshield is oily, then the heater core maybe the cause due to a leak.
good luck! check UNDER the carpets for water!!
